Re: Eligibility for iaf pilots course for BSc in IT students?
Quote:
Yes my friend you are very much eligible for the I.A.F. pilot course. I think at first complete B.Sc. in I.T. then join to I.A.F. and it will be beneficial to you also. There are generally three branches and for these three branches there are three different eligible criteria. The three department are : 1. Flying Branch, 2. Technical Branch, 3. Ground Duty Branch. The selection procedure are consist of two types which are : 1. AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) and 2. Air Force Selection Boards(AFSB) . Generally Pilot Course is Under Flying Branch. I have mentioned below the all eligible criteria for this section. Here it is : 1. Age :: 19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 july 1993(both dates inclusive). 2. Educational Qualification :: Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 3. Physical Standard :: i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another eye Official website of Indian Air Force is given below : http://www.indianairforce.nic.in all the best. |

Re: Eligibility for iaf pilots course for BSc in IT students?
Dear,
To join Indian Air Force after 12 with science, you are eligible to join for both airmen and flying branch after a series of written and physical examination. Medically you are suppose to be normal in both the cases. Only exception is the engineering branch which needs an engineering degree B.Tech/B.E from a recognized university and an individual has to appear for an engineering knowledge test, followed by SSB and medicals. My personal experience is, for guys who are looking for some monkey kind of adventures should join in flying branch, for those who are looking for executive management chair job must apply for Adm/other branches. And those engineering students who are sure they will not fit in some other organization should apply for IAF. No doubt its like a central govt job but routine transfers and non productive environment can lead you to frustration, so be very sure that IAF is last option for any engineer. All d Best. |
