Procedure to apply for civil services examination? Reference books to prepare for preliminary examination?


I am doing bba final year and i want to prepare for IAS exam . Can u please tell me whats the procedure and which book i refer for preliminary exam?

very easy you take the employment news
25rs ias application form u purchases
fill and send to upse
give exam and get selected
all graduate and pg.level books will help you
but additionally read chronical , csr. Etc will help you
news paper also play and important role in your success.

Hello friend,
UPSC conducts Civil Service Exam for recruitment of IPS as well as IAS officers. Successful candidates with highest score are qualified for IAS whereas, the rest are qualified for IPS.
The minimum eligible age for the exam is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are eligible upto 35 years and OBC upto 33 years.
The civil service examination comprises of three stages
Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT)
Main Examination
Interview

The CSAT will be introduced first time this year.
The syllabus of the CSAT will be as follows.
Paper 1
Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change
General science.

Paper 2
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level),
Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)

The application form can be obtained from the post offices/head post offices throughout the country. Apart from this, you may also apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year and it is one of the Indian civil service exams.

Eligibility:
  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  2. The candidate must have a age limit of 21-30 years.
  3. The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university.
