Re: IAS exam eligibility for CA students?
Hello Sachin,
I dont think the UPSC has any specific standards set for CA students. The qualification required to write the civil service examination conducted by UPSC for IAS is a degree from a recognised university or any equivallent qualification. So, your graduation degree makes you eligible for the exam provided you have attained the age of 21 years and not over 30 years. (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC) Once you successfully complete your preliminary exam, you will be eligible for the Main exam and that will be followed by interview. For any further information, you may write to us or could also visit the official website of UPSC. |

Re: IAS exam eligibility for CA students?
hi friend ,
Since you are a CA means you have already done graduation. And graduation is the only criterian for IAS exam. But have to check your age criterian first which is 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011 for IAS-2011. For application you have to get it from your city's head post office by the payment of Rs. 100. And send it to the address specified in form. |

Re: IAS exam eligibility for CA students?
To become an IAS you have to clear Group1 exam.
The eligibility is Degree in any field. But CA is not a course that can be called as degree. Its just a designation. So even though you complete CA you will not be eligible to do that. You may write degree privately and then you may try for mains(Gorup1).. |
