As per the minimum eligibility criteria, as parents who want to pursue MBBS after passing 12th standard must have completed their 10 + 2 with PCB from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. After passing 12th standard with PCB you have to appear in the medical entrance exam that is NEET. Only those students are eligible to appear in this entrance exam which are bio students in 12th. If you get selected in this entrance exam to appear for counselling then you can get admission in any MBBS college as per your rank.

Re: Procedure to get a seat for MBBS after completion of 12th standard?
MBBS refers to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and as the name suggests it is a bachelor degree course of five and half years including one year of internship after pursuing which one heads towards becoming a doctor.
As far as you are concerned about pursuing MBBS degree course then for that you need to have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in PCB from a recognized board of examination. Marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates. Also for pursuing the same course from any medical college of India you need to qualify NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) held by CBSE or AIIMS MBBS entrance examination. For more details regarding NEET you can refer to the link www.cbseneet.nic.in where as for details regarding AIIMS MBBS entrance examination you can refer to the link www.aiimsexams.org. |

Once you get passed in your Higher Secondary Exam with PCB (i.e Physics, Chemistry, Biology) then you need to apply for the NEET exam which is the only exam conducted by CBSE for the students to get admission in Govt or Private Medical Colleges.
The last date for the application to appear in NEET exam to study medical science is over, you need to wait for the next year 2018, for the time being you study hard to crack in one take. |
