i am in second year B.Com. & I want to give IPS exam. to give IPS what is the proper qualification?

Its happy to know that you want to go for IPS. The qualification you need is a degree. You must pass a degree course and should be between the age of 21 and 30. Do the right preparation. Don't forget to join any civil service training institute to get the best training and redirections. It'll help you a lot. So all the best.. |

you should be an graduate in any field and above the age of 21 years , also you should be physically good and have good eye sight,you can get the physical fitness standards and all other important information at www.upsc.gov.in all the best |

You have to be a graduate from any recognized university to be eligible for civil services exams.You must be between 21 to 30 years of age.

Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification. there are a no. civil services where there is a age limit with the qualification but you can apply if you are a graduate person i.e if you have qualified 12 but you will get less opportunities in 12 but if you do B.A or B.s.c there are more opportunities for you in civil services.

Eligibility criteria for Civil service exams:
Candidate should have completed graduation degree with any discipline in an recognized university. Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates Age should be between 21 to 333 years for OBC category candidates For SC/ST category candidate only minimum age is considered i.e is 21 years Check this attachment for more information. |

For IPS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
Here is the eligibility criteria for civil services examinaiton. Academic qualification : -One should have completed graduation from a recognized university Age criteria : -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years -Relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC candidates -Relaxation in upper age limit up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates For updated information, one can visit the official website of UPSC. The basic qualification for civil service examination is graduation. This test is conducted by UPSC. Candidates with 21 years of age are permitted to appear for this test. Final year graduate students are allowed to appear for this exam. Preliminary as well as main exams will be there for this exam. As a competitive examination, proper preparation is needed for this exam.

Hello friend, the civil services exams are conducted by union public service commission(upsc) in every year. Eligibility criteria for civil services:- educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university. There is no percentage in graduation is required. Age limit:- for general candidates, 21 to 30yeas. For BC candidates, 21 to 33years. For SC/ST Candidates, 21 to 35years. Selection process:- 1)preliminary 2)mains exam 3)interview. Prepare well. If any one has a bad eye sight, He is not able to give exams for becomimg an IPS Officer?
My eye sight is weak as 2.0 in nagative. Am I able to get an IPS Post? Exept it I have all qualities as my height is 170 cm and good in study. Please reply. |

UPSC has prescribed a Minimum Educational Qualification for the candidates who intend to sit for the UPSC Civil Services Exam.
The candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities which is incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions, established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Or, candidates need to possess an equivalent qualification of the aforesaid qualification description. UPSC does not specify the stream of studies to sit for the Civil Services Exam. A candidate can come from any stream such as Science, Arts, Commerce etc. He/she must hold a degree from the recognized University as explained above. |

Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC every year for selection of aspiring candidate for IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM:- The candidate should be at least a Graduate degree holder in any stream of education from a recognised University. The final Graduation Degree exam appearing candidate is also eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam. Apart from the above academic qualification, the candidate must be an Indian National within the age of 21 to 30 years of age with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years.
