What is the eligibility to sit in IRS exam...please tell me what is the criteria for it

IRS stands for Indian Revenue Service. The candidates will be placed in this civil services by cracking civil services examination.

The candidates will also be placed in other civil services like
-IAS
-IPS etc,
by crcaking this civil services examination.

The selection procedure to be placed in IRS is by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

Here is the required eligibililty criteria for civil services examination.

Academic Qualification :
-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.
-Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation and waiting for the result can also apply to this exam.

Age criteria :
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

If you fulfill this criteria, you can appear for upcoming civil services examination which is going to be conducted in the next academic year on 20-05-2012

UPSC:-Union Public Service Commission

Eligibility criteria to sit in UPSC exam:-


-A candidate should be graduate or should be in final year of such courses.

-A person should be Indian national

-Candidate's age should be between 21 to 30 years(including both). Relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC candidates.

-A person should have the knowledge of English and Hindi.


These exam has three phase:-

-objective type test

-descriptive written exam

-Interview

If you clear first exam then only , you can sit in descriptive exam.

If you clear that, then you need to appear for interview.

merit is made by combining marks of descriptive exam and Interview.
