So, For all this, you have to give NDA examination which is held every year twice by the UPSC.

After completing 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics as your major subjects and must have scored 50% marks in 12th standard, then you can join any Pilot Training Schools and this course may cost around 15 to 20 lakh plus.

But for becoming a pilot, you have to get any type of Pilot License.

There are different type of licenses like SPL, PPL, CPL.

SPL:- Student Pilot License is the basic step to start a career
PPL:- Private Pilot License can be obtained by 60 hours of Flying.
CPL:- Commercial Pilot License can be obtained by 190 hours of Flying.

There are two ways and two categories of Pilot. One is a government and another one is commercial.

- You can become pilot in Indian Air Force by appearing in NDA (National Defence Academy) Examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) after having completed your class 12th.

- NDA examination will have 3 subjects i.e Mathematics, English, General Science and General Knowledge. After clearing the written examination you have to appear in the SSB (Service Selection Board) interview and then DME (Detail Medical Examination) as this post carries very high medical standards.

-You can become commercial pilot by applying in the aviation courses conducted by various institutes in India and abroad. You have to obtain licence once you completed your course. You will be given domestic flights first.
