IPS - Indian Police Service, to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidat with good Physical and Mental Fitness. Apart from this the aspiring candidate for IPS should maintain a minimum Physical requirement such as:- HEIGHT:- General Male - 165cm and Female - 150cm while SC/ST Male - 160cm and Female - 145cm. IPS stands for Indian Police Service. This exam conduct by Union Public Service Commission once in a year. Required Qualifications: Education: You should pass the Graduation from any recognized university from with any stream. No minimum percentage required for this exam. Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible. Nationality: Candidate should have indian citizenship. Age limit: Candidate min age limit is above 21 years. Candidate max age limit is below 30 years. The upper age relaxation is applicable for the other categories. 3 years for OBC 5 years for SC\ST 10 years for Physical Handicapped. 1. Preliminary exam 2. Main exam Qualication- You complete your graduation In any field also you attempt last year of graduation to civil services |

In order to appear for Indian Police Service exam, a candidate should have minimum of graduation degree. Apart from that there is a need to meet certain physical requirements as well in order to apply for the Civil Service Examination for IPS.
The physical requirements are crucial because of the nature of work that IPS officer has to carry out. He takes part in anti terror operations, riot controlling, maintaining law and order and also provides VIP security. Candidates from Indian Police Service as also selected to work for agencies like NIA, CBI, IB and R&AW. Eligibility 1. Civil Service Examination is only for candidates of Indian origin. 2. You must have a bachelor degree from any recognized university. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Your age should be between 21 to 30 years to apply. 5. If you belongs to OBC then the age limit is relaxed by 3 years. 6. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. Physical Requirements Height Male - 165 cm (General) and minimum of 150 cm (ST) Female - 150 cm (General) and 145 cm (ST) Chest Male Minimum 84 cm. UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts IPS(Indian Police Service) exam once in a hole year. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should have to complete any bachelor's degree from any recognised university. In graduation percentage is not required to attempt this exam. The candidate should be a citizen of india. Age criteria:- The age limits are 21 to 30years, 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Selection process:- -->Civils services preliminary examination, -->Civil services mains examination, -->Personal interview. Number of attempts:- 4 times for General, 7 times for OBC candidates, No limit for SC/ST candidates. Physical standards:- Pattern of exam:- Best of luck. |

If you want to become IPS officer then you have to crack IAS/IPS exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.
For appearing in IAS/IPS exam you must have following qualifications: -Graduation in Any discipline from a Recognized university. -Age must be between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category Candidate. -Age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC and Ex Servicemen. The examination is of three stages which are as follows: -CSAT -Mains -Personal Interview. If your performance in good in these exams and you are high on merit list then you can become IPS Officer. To become a IPS officer you'll have to go through civil services exam conducted by upsc, provided that you fulfill the following criteria-
educational qualification- graduate in any stream. note-students in final year of graduation are also eligible for this exam. age limit- general- 20 to 30 yrs. sc/st- 20 to 35 yrs. obc- 20 to 33 yrs. the pattern of this examination is as below- civil services exam is conducted by upsc every year for recruitment to various posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS etc. the pattern of thus exam is as below- preliminary - general studies & CSAT main- general studies (two papers), two optional subjects(two paper each), essay, english grammar , one Indian language. interview. best of luck |

To become an I{PS officers you will crack the CSAT exam this exam is also known as IAS exam. this exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. there are some eligibility criteria which is Candidate should be graduate in any stream. no percentage restriction age of the candidate should be 21 to 30 year. 3 year age relaxation for OBC candidate 5year age relaxation for SC/ST candidate Nationality should be Indian Number of Limit General candidate can attempt 4 times OBC candidate can attempt 7 times SC/ST have no restriction till above age limit |
