---for technical line-- 12 + P.C.M.(PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHS.

If you want to go to non-technical line then
---for non technical---12th ONLY.

You can join Indian Air Force by giving Combined Defence Service examination i.e CDSE. CDSE is conducted bu Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC twice in year as CDS(I) & CDS(II).


Eligibility condition's to appear in this Exam:

You should have completed Bachelor's degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level examination ) Or Engineering degree from a recognized University.

Final year candidates may also eligible to apply for CDS exam . There is no restriction on minimum percentage of marks.


Your Age should be in between 19 to 23 years & there is no relaxation for any category categories candidates.

There are so many ways to join in Indian airforce, but you are not mentioned your educational qualification because after 12th standard you will be eligible for NDA(National Defence Service) exam and after graduation you will be eligible for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam, these two exams are conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year.

Eligibility criteria for NDA:-

The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state board.

For airforce and navy you must be passed 12th standard with physics, mathematics and chemistry as main subjects.

Age limits is 16.5 years to 19 years, and there is no age relaxation.

The candidate must be a citizen of india.

Male and unmarried candidates can only eligible for this exam.


Eligibility criteria for CDS exam:-

The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Percentage is not required for this exam.

The candidates age should be in between 19 to 23 years.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.

Male and female both candidates are eligible.

The candidate must be physically fit.

Indian Air Force can be joined basically through three ways basing on one's qualification:-

NDA
CDS
AFCAT

UPSC conducts NDA(National Defence Academy) and CDS(Combined Defence Service), entrance exam for entry in to Indian Air Force. Only male unmarried candidate is eligible to apply for this.

For Indian Air Force of NDA, one should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good Physical and Mental fitness.

For Indian Air Force Academy of CDS, one should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics within 19 to 23 years with good physical Fitness.

well you can join indian air force after completing 10+2 through NDA but other than that if you complete your graduation then you are always applicable,even after completing your post graduation you must have minimum 60% in your graduation or in the degree upon which you are applying for the job
