you can join the navy first you crack the NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission twice in a year.

i.e, NDA-I and NDA-II

NDA has three wings

Indian army

Navy

Indian Air force

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Nationality:

The candidate should be citizen of india.

Educational Qualification:

the candidate should have the 12th standard from any recognized state board of india.

There is no minimum percentage required to eligible for this exam.

Only science stream students are eligible for the navy and air force.

Physics chemistry and mathematics are the compulsory subjects to the navy and air force.

Age limit:

the age limit should be between the 16.5 to 19 years.

Gender:

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

Physical standard:

the candidate physically and medically fit for this exam.

You can join Navy through National defense Academy. The entrance is conducted twice in an year and in each turn there are 39 vacancies in Navy

For Navy you must have passed 10+2 with physics and mathematics subjects. there is No limit for minimum percentage.
The Age of the candidate must be between 16.5 and 19 years.
Also only unmarried candidates are eligible for it.
you must also be eligible as per these physical standards.



there are some other standards also like -
- The candidate must have corrected and uncorrected vision of 6/6
- Myopia must not be more than -0.75 and hypermetropia must not be more than +1.5 D
-The Limits set for Colour Perception is I
-The candidate must have binocular vision of III

after +2 you also join the indian navy. age limit is upto 21 years,

after the graduation u give the cds exam.

other wise indian navy directly open the vacancies .

To join Navy you need to give NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice in a yeari.e. NDA-I and NDA-II.

NDA has three wings:
Indian army,
Indian airforce,
Indian navy.

Educational Qualifications :
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age criteria:
Age limits is 16 1/2 years to 19 years.
There is no relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

Nationality:Citizen of india.

Important note:
Girls are not eligible for this exam, only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
You must be physically fit.

air wing and navy:

you should pass 12th
having maths and physics.
age limit is 16.5-19yrs.

army wing:

you should pass 12th
no subject barrier,
age limit is 16.5-19yrs.

NDA II 2012 application was started on 4-5-2012,
and closed on 4-6-2012,
now it is late to apply ,

but you are eligible to apply for NDA I ,next year
if you age don't exceeds 19 yrs,
it is the maximum age to apply for NDA.
