How to join Indian Navy after passing 12th? Percentage required to join Navy?

If you want to join Indian Navy after passing 12th standard then you need to crack NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC every year.

NDA:- National Defence Academy

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission


ELIGIBILITY:-

Must have 12th passed in PCM subjects.

No restriction on percentage for NDA.

Age must be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

Must be Male.

Must be an Indian Citizen.

Must be Physical & Medically fit.






If you meet the all eligibility criteria then you can apply for NDA Online or offline mode.

Indian Navy can be joined after 12th through appearing NDA entrance exam.

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA- I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Central/State Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good Physical Fitness.

The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th is eligible o apply for Indian Navy/Air Force wing of India. There is no percentage of mark criteria for applying NDA.

If you are interested to join Indian Navy of NDA then you may apply for NDA-II, the notification of which will come out in the month of May 2012 followed by exam during August 2012.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C. twice in a year.

I am happy to inform, you that you are eligible for N.D.A exam after passing 12th with non-medical stream.

The age limit for N.D.A exam 16.5-19 year.

The candidate must be citizen of India.

In N.D.A exam only Unmarried Male candidate are eligible.

There are three steep of selection:-

You can join Indian Navy through NDA/NA & CDSE conducted by UPSC.

Basic eligibility required for NDA are:
- You are eligible for NDA after 10+2 exam.
-only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
-candidates appearing in 12th class can also apply.
- Age : From 19 Years to 24 years. Engineer graduates 20 to 27 years
- Degree. BA, B.Sc or B.Tech/BE
- No. of attempts is less than or equal to 4

Naval Academy(NA) is concerned with training for Indian Navy. If you go through NDA exam and you want to join INDIAN NAVY you will have to first complete 3 year training in NDA and then further training in Naval Academy.


Eligibility Criteria for India Navy in CDSE :-

The candidate age should be between 19 years and 22 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Graduation in engineering from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.

Navy Training: All Naval cadets undergo practical training of sailing at Peacock Bay, which is fully equipped to train naval cadets on all the aspects of Boat handling, Wind Surfing, Rowing and other related areas.

To join the NDA. candidate should be complete 12th with science stream above the 60% marks.
The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC.
The age limitation for the exam is 16.5 to 19 years.

After completing 12th standard you can enter into the Indian Navy by writing NDA exam. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. It is conducted by UPSC every year. Every they conduct two exams NDA-1 & NDA-2. Through these exams we can enter into any branch in Defence Academy. They have also introduced B-Tech course in Naval Academy. The educational qualification for NDA is 10+2 standard with physics and mathematics as subjects of 60% and above. The age limit is 17-21 years. Mathematics, Physics,Chemistsy and General Knowledge as subjects. After qualifying in the written exam there will be an interview. After passing in the interview the candidates are taken to the Naval Academy, Ejimalla, Kerala.

You need min 60% in 12th. There are NO FEES in ANY Defence entry/academy!

One can join Indian Navy after completion of 12th class.

NDA Exam will be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission twice a year.

After or during the +2 tenure, interested candidates need to write NDA Exam for the Army wing of National Defense Academy. Candidates willing to join Indian Army through NDA Exam do not need to have studied Mathematics in the higher secondary level. Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination and atleast, have 40% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English. During the time of admission, he should be 17 1/2 years and must not be over 23 years of age. There will be a compulsory paper of Mathematics in the NDA Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

For joining Indian Navy just after 10+2, you will have to appear for NDA Exam.

NDA Exam is commenced by UPSC twice in a year.

But note that, you must have Physics & Mathematics as your primary subjects in 10+2 to apply for Navy wing of NDA Exam.

If you are commerce or art stream candidate, then you can apply for Army wing of NDA Exam only.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for NDA Exam

It depends whether you want to join as officer and sailor in navy so

for officer there are three two types of enteries after 12th with PCM.
1.Thorough NDA -minimum 60%
2.TES ENTERY - minimum 75% (PCM)

FOR SAILOR
1.SSR ENTERY - minimum 65% but not fixed you may not get call letter some time if cutoff is high
2.AA ENTERY- minimum 65% it is also same like SSR
