Re: Required Qualification and Percentage of marks to become an Aeronautical Engineer?
Hello friend
It is nice to see you interested in Aeronautical engineering. Aeronautical engineering include designing, manufacturing as well as maintenance of aircrafts and spacecrafts. Not only that, here you will also deal design and maintenance of space satellites. You can get jobs in aircrafts manufacturing companies. You can even get a chance to work in big airline companies like Air India, Kingfisher, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Etc. And if you dreaming to work in ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and Indian defense Services then must start working hard from now itself. But as far as the question goes regarding educational qualification and eligibility criteria, you need to fulfill the following conditions: >> Score minimum 60% marks in PCM subjects. >> While you are in class 12th, you need to fill the application forms of different entrance examinations. You can appear for following entrance exams: 1. IIT-JEE (National Level) 2. ISAT (National Level) 3. AIEEE (National Level) 4. State-CETs like MHT-CET, EAMCET, MPCET, etc. 5. IIAEEE 6. ISEET 7. SLIET >> Beside these there are many other private engineering colleges which have their own entrance exams like BIT, SRM University, NSIT, Hindustan Aviation Academy, PEC, etc. But tell you my friend, you have to work from now onwards. As you are in class 11th now, you need to focus more in subjects like Physics and Mathematics. You need to perform well in entrance exam to get a seat in good aeronautical engineering colleges like IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Madras, Hindustan Aviation Academy, Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Madras Institute of Technology, Nehru college of Aeronautics, etc. Hope this was helpful. Anyways, all the best for your career! Regards, Sandeep |

Re: Required Qualification and Percentage of marks to become an Aeronautical Engineer?
Hi,
Aeronautical engineering is fast becoming one of preferred choice of engineering students. Minimum qualification for aeronautical engineering is 10+2 The percentage required is 60% marks in Physics, chemistry and maths It has very good scope and gives a good pay package. Aeronautical engineering can be done by qualifying any of these entrance test - JEE AIEEE Eligibility for aeronautical engineering – Intermediate with 60% marks in Physics, chemistry and maths. Minimum age should not be below 17 years. Colleges offering this course are - MAharishi Dayanand University Dwarkadas J sanghvi College of Engineering Fly wings Aviation K.C. college Of Engineering Indian Aerospace & engineering Academy of Aviation engineering and technology Xavier Institute of Engineering Scope of aeronautical engineering – An aeronautical engineer can be hired by – DRDO National aeronautical laboratory ISRO Civil Aviation Deptt. Re: Required Qualification and Percentage of marks to become an Aeronautical Engineer?
You have to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths to become eligible for Aeronautical Engineering course.
The admission into this course will be based in the entrance examination and you have to get a top rank to get a top college of your choice. The entrance will be an objective type paper having questions from Physics, Maths and Chemistry. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. So be prepared for the entrance examination if you want to get admission into top college. Some of the top Aeronautical Engineering colleges are given below: -Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. -Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai -Bangalore Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology, Bangalore -Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Dehradun -Guru Gram Institute of Aeronautical Engineering & Technology -Indian Institute of Technology Chennai -Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur -Indian Institute of Aeronautics, Patna -Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology, Chennai -Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati |
