the diploma holders have very good scope,they are employed mostly as survey engineers in different companies and also in testing labrotaries because they are so good in labrotary,they are also employed more in billing department

yes, diploma holders can take admission in to 2nd year of b.tech through lateral entry scheme.
several institutes conducts admission through CET, or different states conducts different type of entrances for it (example-west bengal conducts its own entrance for it) however,candidates can also appear for AIEEE and IIT-JEE. |

if you really want to excell in your field and want a good job then you should now go for b.tech course in civil..........after diploma you can get direct admission in second year in any engineering college......it is generally direct admission or you might have to appear for an exam......

Diploma holders in civil engineers are having a great scope as every body stated and more than that, they can even pursue their bachelor degree in civil and later masters so that they still can have more number of job opportunities.

you can start your own business of construction as a contractor in State/Centre Government, Corporation & Municipal Committees etc. after getting the license from the concerned authority or you can work in Constructions companies

maddusajj you have a great scope in diploma civil engineering.....many construction companies in metropolitan cities like Chennai, coimbatore,bangalore,hydrabad etc....are looking diploma holders in civil........your work nature are site engineer,maintanence engineer etc....knowledge in softwares like autocad,staad pro adds great advantage in your carrier.

there is very good scope in civil engineering diploma holders....u can join any real state organisation and also there is plenty of scope in government organisation like PWD,DMRC etc...and u can take admission in B.Tech. 2nd year directly after diploma...

are good at labortory so thy have have very good scope and they are employed mostly as survey engineers in different companies and also in testing labrotaries good luck |

hi friend,
there are several companies which requires diploma holders for various posts like junior engineer post,the companies are, ntpc,bhel,ongc,hpcl,bpcl etc but i would suggest you to go for higher studies like you can join some b.tech course as lateral entry in some engineering college . and then you can do m.tech or mba according to your wish |

Scope of Diploma Holders in Civil Engineering
Such diploma holders have the scope in the following Departments. PWD B&R, Irrigation, Public Health, Dams, Constructions companies, M.E.S., J.C.O's in Army etc. and are designated as Sectional Officer/Jr. Engineer. U have job oppurtunities.. But the present world is highly competitive. The scenario is many are with BE degree... So it will be good when u complete ur engg degree also

this is because the diploma people do it for three years in there field experiments and also they are very good in lab-rotary because there is more importance for the experiments in the curriculum thats why the are preferred when it comes to lab rotary testing

there are many scope for the civil diploma engineers you can either go for the graduation or even you can look for the jobs but as a civil engineer it will be better if you start your own business. |

this time diploma students gets more priority in company than btech student. after training they are doing the same jobs what the btech students are actually do in company.and this is happening due to company wants more profit. so civil holders have jobs opportunity in private sector as well as govt sectors. all the best...... |

a diploma holder can be employed in an industry as a surveyer or an assistant engineer if he has a good track record of marks.Also he /she can pursue there studies with a b.tech degree in civil engineering.Also the diploma holders get direct admission to the college in the 2nd year of the degree course
