Re: Should I join M.Tech after B.Tech or should I go for job to gain experience?
Dear friend,
Your gate percentile is very good seems you are good in techanical from my reference you can go for mtech because doing mtech also you get minimum stipend of 15000 and you get higher studies degree too. And in your job reference you get promotion earlier then a btech guy. So in my suggestion you should go for Mtech. |

Re: Should I join M.Tech after B.Tech or should I go for job to gain experience?
Doing higher studies or job is purely a individual own interest and decision..
What we can do is just idea of job or study..If you are interest in studying and explore more in specialization with you favorite subject then higher studies is best but just because you are not getting job if you go for higher studies then you are doing injustice to yourself... and doing job is also good if you want to use theory knowledge into practical works!! Think it!!! |

I suggest you to do M.tech, then go for job trails.Because if you start trying from now,you may get/may not,in negative case you will loose time, and another thing is you will not have interest in studies after gap between studies.

Decide whether you are interested in studying more at this moment. If the answer is yes then prepare to the best of your ability for the next GATE exam. A masters degree will always be better than a bachelors. You will get a better job than the one you might get now. Also, you will have the option of being a professor/lecturer at a good engineering college. If the answer is no then prepare to get placed in a good company. Work there and try to complete your masters for a better job and improved life. Best of luck. |

I know that would be very hectic but for only some time, which will result in a very good return. You go far part time job related to your field and simultaneously m.tech. So at the same time you will be getting experience as well as knowledge which will make your future so bright after completion of m.tech. Your field is very good which is nowadays in demand highly. |

Re: Should I join M.Tech after B.Tech or should I go for job to gain experience?
It depends on how much package you are getting after doing B. Tech. If your package is above 6 lakhs, then you should go for job. Otherwise you should do M. Tech. from any core IIT.
After doing M. Tech. many people go into teaching job. So you should decide what you want to do. It may happen that you do not get desired package even after doing M. Tech. Moreover according to me experience is more important. |

friend if u really want to pursue a career in IT sector then m.tech is not so imp.since most it companies don't differentiate between mtech and btech guys.although u may gain work xperience and then apply for an mba instead that will be a better suited degree in IT sector.

Re: Should I join M.Tech after B.Tech or should I go for job to gain experience?
B Tech done. So now, 3 options :
1. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering) - Based on the score of which you can choose M Tech colleges all over India, or apply to PSU's for jobs. 2. MBA (Masters in Business Administration) - this is totally like a compulsion when you dream of working in any MNC. So you can go for this also. 3. Work - Get placed from your college, or apply from job outside, and then work for two or three years, gain experience. and then resume your studies. I would suggest M Tech. Because once you leave your studies, and get diverted to earn money, you would never get back the same interest for the studies. So give it a thought. All the best. |
