Hi I am santosh I have completed my bcom na I am interested to became an income tax officer I need to know what is the processes and what type of books I have to refer can any one halo me

Income Tax Officer exam is generally conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) every year.

-The candidate must have any degree from a recognized university.

-The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is from 18 years to 27 years.There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates i.e.,

For OBC- 3 years,

For SC/ST-5 years.

The selection exam for the post is held in three stages.

Stage 1: Written Objective type Examination (Tier 1)

A. General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks
B. Gen.Awareness-50 marks
C. Quantitative Aptitude –50 marks
D. English Comprehension -50 marks
Total Marks - 200
Duration: 02 hours


Stage 2 : Written Objective type Examination (Tier 2)

I.Quantitative Abilities : 200 marks (100 Questions)
Duration: 2 hours
II.English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks.
Duration : 2 hours
Total Marks : 400


Stage 3: Personality test/Interview (100 Marks)


-The candidate can apply for the exam either online or offline.The application forms are available at the Official website of SSC.

Hello, I have complet my gradution but in 2015 ssc have not conduct the Eham Why ?

While writing your BCOM 3rd year exam you can apply for SSC-CGL( Combined Graduate Level) exam in which you can select your preference to become Income Tax officer. Notification for SSC-CGL come every Summer.

2nd way to become Income Tax Officer is to qualify for Civil Services exam and select Indian Revenue Service under which you will get Income Tax Department.

Yes, you can apply for this exam but After the completion of your Dagree only

Well for the Income Tax department job you have to write

the ssc exam as the staff selection commission is conducting the

ssc common graduate level exam every year and this post like income tax

inspector and assistant including in it.

Education :

-The Candidate should be pass in graduation

-Final year candidates can also apply

-Need just passing marks in graduation

Age Limit :

-The age should be between 18- to 27

-Age relaxation for the obc and sc,st 3 and 5 years
