as i am complete BE computer sciences then which subject choose in I A S PT examnatio?..

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services in which appointment is done by
UPSC through Civil Service Examination.
The Civil Service Examination is generally conducted once every year.

PT Examination stands for Prelims test but the trend of saying it PT examination no long
exits. It is simply said Civil Services Preliminary or Prelims Examination.
Earlier candidates were supposed to choose an optional subject for Preliminary exam too
but this rules has been changed 2 years back.
Now the Preliminary exam has become a common paper for all the applicants and there is
no provision to choose optional subject for Prelims.

The questions in Prelims come from following subjects.
1. General studies
(History, Geography,Politics, Economics and social development, General Science)
2. English &
3. Mathematical Aptitude.

The Preliminary Examination is also called Civil Services Aptitude Test.

For Main examination, you will have to choose 2 optional subjects from the following list
of subject.

1. Agriculture
2. Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
3. Anthropology
4. Botany
5. Chemistry
6. Civil Engineering
7. Commerce and Accountancy
8. Economics
9. Electrical Engineering
10. Geography
11. Geology
12. History
13. Law
14. Management
15. Mathematics
16. Mechanical Engineering
17. Medical Science
18. Philosophy
19. Physics
20. Political Science and International Relations
21. Psychology
22. Public Administration
23. Sociology
24. Statistics
25. Zoology

You should keep it in mind that following combinations of optional subjects are not
allowed. So, choose accordingly.

- Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration;
- Commerce & Accountancy and Management;
- Anthropology and Sociology;
- Mathematics and Statistics;
- Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
- Management and Public Administration;
- Any two engineering subjects
- Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science.
