Which subjects do we need to take up to prepare for MBA?
Sir,
i am presently in b-tech second year and want to persue mba from a good university. If you can please guide me as to which are the subjects do we need to prepare for mba entrance examination. I will be very grateful to you. thankyou |

CAT and MAT are the most popular entrance exams for MBA. Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning questions are covered under both the exams. One can also expect questions on data interpretation and data sufficiency. These exams also include questions on reading comprehension and verbal ability. These are the topics included for almost all MBA entrance exams. You should dedicate separate time for the preparation of different subjects.

CAT exams are conducted by IIM each year IIM has already announced the dates for the 2013 CAT exams Important Dates for CAT 2013 Sale of vouchers: 29th July 2013 to 24th September 2013 Registrations: 29th July 2013 to 26th September 2013 Exam dates: 16th October 2013 to 11th November 2013 In CAT exams questions are asked from below sections: Verbal Ability Logical Reasoning Quantitative Ability Data Interpretation Eligibilty to apply for the CAT exams is: Graduation pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks for General and OBC candidates and minimum 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates. Other subjects covered include loans, bonds and depreciation, etc. Introduction to Microeconomics This course will teach basic concepts in economics including solving economic problems and the advantages of size, in addition to: the compensation curve, supply and demand, production costs, marketing apparatus, government intervention and the open market. Introduction to macroeconomics This course will cover subjects related to national accounting, private consumption functions, investment functions, aggregate demand, fiscal policy, monetary policy, banks and the money market. Financial accounting The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge in financial accounting and pricing, familiarity with pricing systems, recording and calculating production costs, while focusing on accounting principles, methods for constructing financial reports and connection between them. Introduction to organizational behavior Subjects studied in this course include: the individual in an organization, approaches and methods for motivating employees, organizational and interpersonal communications, pressure and burnout at work, organizational culture, processes for decision-making, power centers and politics in organizations, conflicts and managerial problems, leadership and management, and managing processes of change. |

You can join MBA program you can write CAT entrance exam.
