The Company Secretary course is conducted in three stages:
Foundation
Executive
Professional


Eligibilty to apply for the CS Foundation course is:
>> 12th Pass in any stream
No minimum percentage of marks required in class12th

Subjects to study in the CS Foundation Course
English and Business Communication
Economics and Statistics
Financial Accounting
Elements of Business Laws and Management


Eligibilty to give the Executive level Exams of ICSI is
Graduation Pass
or
Foundation course pass of the ICSI
OR
CPT Stage of ICAI programme

As far as age limit to take up company secretary course is concern.There is no maximum age limit to apply for company secretary course. To be eligible, all you need is to have qualified 2 level of exam in any stream.

Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) is the institute which is responsible for conducting exams for the COMPANY SECRETARY COURSES.
To apply for these courses you have to be eligible for the CS

Through this you will be allowed in the FOUNDATION PROGRAMMER and there are three stages for this and they are:

1)FOUNDATION PROGRAMMER

2)EXECUTIVE PROGRAMMER

3)PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMER

You have to clear all these courses and undergo practical training to become a qualified

Sir, I am 43 now. Have no B com Background but graduated in Arts stream. Having 18 years of office secretarial experience. I would like to do CS only for better carrier opportunities. I am fully aware that Admin Secretarial experience is entirely different to Company secretary profile. Will there be any betterment in career. What is the income i can expect after doing CS with my experience in previous jobs ? Look forward for a proper guidance in this forum please.
