After SLC you have to study 2 or a comparable course in the Science stream.
Then you can join Biotechnology courses within which you can study Genetic Engineering. Some good biotechnology bachelors courses are offered in Asian Institute of Science and Technology (AITM), SANN Int'l College, Kantipur Valley College (KVC), and some other colleges inside the valley. For a Masters course, you will have to study M.Sc in Biotechnology at Tribhuvan University (TU).
