For Indian Engineering Services Following Students having this Branch are Eligible. Category I—Civil Engineering. Category II—Mecahnical Engineering. Category III—Electrical Engineering. Category IV—Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. Quote:
There is a Full Paragraph About PH categories Just refer The below Attachment. Quote:
These papers consists of descriptive (i.e. essay) type questions. Depending on the relative performance by the IES candidates, UPSC decides the cut-off (minimum qualifying marks) in the Objective test and the papers of Conventional test is evaluated only for those above this cut-off. IES exam cut-off in the Objective test is approximately 60%. All the best. |

Hi,
Yes there is a PH(Physically Handicapped) category in the IES exams conducted by the UPSC. There are various relaxations offered to the PH students such as: *Upper age limit(ie 30 years) is relaxable upto 10 years for PH students(ie 40 years) *The PH students are not required to pay any fee to appear in the exam.(Otherwise it is Rs.100/-) *In the year 2010, there are 434 vacancies including 10 physically handicapped vacancies. Also,I have attached the Average cut-off marks for the year 2008 and 2009 as per your request. You may also find the IES 2011 Advertisement. Good Luck! |
