To pursue chartered accountancy course, first of all you will have to obtain the prospectus along with the application form from your nearest ICAI regional office.
Once you have got the application form, you will nee to fill it up and submit it.
The first stage of the course is common proficiency test and therefore, after submitting the application form, you will be able to take the test which is conducted in the month of June and December every year.
The amount of registration is Rs.1500 including examination fee for common proficiency test.
After qualifying the test, you will be eligible to move on to next stage which is Professional Competence Course and is followed by the Final Course and other compulsory practical training.

C.A. course is conducted by ICAI.

The C.A. course is divided into three levels.
The first one is CPT for which one can register after 12th.
After 12th you can apply for the CPT (Competence Proficiency Test).
After qualifying CPT, you will have to pass the IPCC examination and then
Articleship and finally the Final course examination.

To register for the course you should download the CPT registration form from
ICAI website. (The form is also available in the attachment of this message).

The registration fee for the course is Rs. 6,000/-

CA- CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY conducted by ICAI.

The course comprises of three parts:- CPT(Common Proficiency Test), IPCC and Articleship.

After 12th one can register with CPT by down loading the registration form form the official web site of ICAI i.e. www.icai.in

After qualifying the CPT one has to pass IPCC exam followed by Articleship and final examination in order to complete C.A. course.

Procedure For CA after 12th is as follow

After 12th you have to give one entrance exam named
"CA CPT ENTRANCE EXAM 2012"


The CPT Examination is held twice a year on a Sunday in the months of June and December every year.

CA CPT 2012 Paper Pattern:-

CPT Examination is objective type test comprising of 4 subjects which are: -
(a) Fundamentals of Accounting – 60 marks,
(b) Mercantile Laws – 40 marks,
(c) General Economics – 50 marks and
(d) Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks.

Yes your eligible to apply for CA course after complete your 12th standard . If your interested to apply for CA course then you need to crack the CPT Examination then only your eligible to apply for ca course .
