How to apply for entrance exam for direct admission into 2nd year of Bachelor of Technology for the session 2018 after completion of full time Diploma?

LEET ( Lateral Entry Entrance Test ) is conducted by various institutes and state government for admission in B.Tech course.

The required eligibility for admission in the course is that candidate must have passed diploma course from a recognized university and have scored minimum 60%.

Candidates after qualifying for entrance examination will become eligible for admission in 2ndyear of B.Tech course.

So, you can visit the official website of respective college to get the detail for admission procedure.

Government of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh etc conducts entrance examination for admission in government college.

For taking admission directly to 2nd year of Bachelor of Technology after completing Diploma, you will have to appear for Lateral entry test.

Lateral entry exam is conducted by State University or the college itself for admission to 2nd year of B.Tech.

Syllabus of the lateral entry test is from the subjects that you have studied in Diploma.

Candidates who has successfully completed diploma get eligibility for entering directly into 2nd year instead of studying 1st year on-wards.
Diploma candidates who are willing to get into an engineering college into the 2nd year must write the entrance examination conducted by the respective state government and they can complete the full course with normal candidates who entered into the college in the 1st year.
So, you need to wait for the notification of your state government and apply for it and clear it with merit because the good rank you get, the good college you will get for pursuing your engineering.
