How to get admission for B.E lateral entry after diploma.. What is the procedure followed for getting lateral entry B.E admission? Can someone please give me the complete steps which we have to follow? Thank you!

Lateral entry in B.Tech is direct admission of students in 3rd semester of the
4 years degree course.
To get lateral entry in B.Tech after completing diploma in engineering which is 3 year course after completing 10th standard, a special examination is conducted and the students have secure high marks in this examination.
On the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination, students can get admission.
To get admission through lateral entry scheme, it is mandatory that the students must have completed their diploma degree from a recognized institution which is recognized by NCVT in any stream with minimum of 60% marks.
NCVT stands for National Council on Vocational Body.
Also, students can get admission in that stream of B..Tech only through which they have completed their diploma.
Also, admission in B.Tech is provided on the basis of vacant seat and very few reserved seats for lateral entry which makes the competition more tougher due to less availability of seats for admission.
So, students need to prepare hard to get entry through lateral entry scheme.

In order to get admission in lateral entry of bachelor of technology course, you must apply for the Lateral Entry Entrance test. LEET is the entrance exam for diploma candidates to get direct admission in second year of engineering.

For LEET candidates must have minimum of 60% marks in diploma. The notification for the LEET exam is out in the month of April to May and examination is conducted is June. You can also apply for the Joint Entrance examination mains for admission in bachelor of technology course in NIT, IIITs and other government engineering colleges.

For getting lateral entry in B.E. 2nd year directly, you will have to qualify Lateral Entry Exam conducted by the University to which the college is affiliated or by the college itself.

Firstly, take the admission form from the college itself and fill it completely.

Now, submit your application form along with the relevant documents associated with it.

After this, you will get an admit card to appear for Lateral Entry Exam.

Appear for the exam with full preparation and qualify it.

After qualifying it, you can take admission to that specific college.

You can appear for exams like LEET or ECET to get direct admission in 2nd year of B.Tech or B.E. for pursuing engineering course.

PULEET is another exam that is conducted by Punjab University every year for direct admission to B.Tech for Diploma Holder Candidates.

After the diploma engineering you have appear in the lateral entry entrance test and after that you can get the admission in B.tech in direct in second year in any college or in University because in every college and university have the 10% seats reserved for the diploma candidates.
