hello i am harikishan baghel ,i completred my btec from ip, so i asked u what is advantage of gate exam.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by IIT and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs, BITS etc.

Only B.Tech. Engineering Graduate from a recognised University is eligible to apply for GATE. There is no upper age limit to apply for GATE.

Apart from admission to M.Tech. courses, a candidate can get opportunity to serve in Public Sector Undertakings(PSU) which recruit young Engineering Graduate on the basis of GATE Score which is valid for two years.

Is it really necessary to appear gate exam to be eligible for government jobs ?

How to prepare for gate exam ?

is it necessary to write gate exam for joining private IT sectors also....

how much will be the maximum gate score to get into PSU jobs?

hello sir i hav completed BE and i am pursuing MTECH through pgcet and it thought of writing GATE this time.can i write it.if i get score card will i get job in govt sectors??plz reply me soon!!

If you have GATE scores than you can apply to jobs in most of the PSU


Most of the Navratna PSU and Maharatna PSU only shortlist candidates based on the GATE scores.


Since GATE is considered to be tough exams which tests candidates knowledge and is conducted by IIT, PSU has decided to do away with written tests.

If shortlisted they can attend interviews



GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the Exam conducted by IIT each year

Next GATE exams would be held in January 2014


Eligibilty to apply for the GATE exams is:
>> BE/BTECH/BARCH pass or Final year student

>> M.SC/MCA/MA with subjects/branch Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent

>> Integrated Master’s degree programs or Dual Degree programs in Engineering / Technology (Five year programme).This programme should have been done just after passing class 12th

• Today in India all the colleges and Universities accept GATE score card to give admission in M.Tech
• This means with GATE score card you can apply in any college in India you wish for
  
• With GATE score card only many companies are recruiting for the engineer posts
• Some of the companies are
• IOCL
• BHEL
• NTPC
• Power Grid
  
• The GATE exam score card is valid for 2 years

After Passing the GATE entrance exam you are eligible for having a admission to M. Tech in IITs, NITs or also in other university
You would be provided with a scholarship of Rs. 8000 per month until the completion of the M. Tech. programs for two years

IT IS NECESSARY ONE SHOULD WRITE GATE EXAM , TO STUDY Phd. ?

i am not interested in doing mtech.... are there any other advantages of writing GATE xam other then this??

Normally all graduates try to crack the GATE exam to join in M.tech courses.
But, nowadays young Engineering Graduates are also recruited on the basis of GATE Scores in various Public Sector Undertakings.
