Eligibility for IIT-JEE :-

1.The candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with physics ,chem and math.

2. You must score 60% above in 12 th.

Your minimum age must be 18 years and maximum age must be 25 years.

You can applicable consecutive two times.

If you fulfill the above criteria then you are eligible for IIT JEE.

so yes you are eligible for next year... but is the last time you can write exam as after that
you will become 26 in next year....

For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories, age limit is 30 years.

Also a candidate can take the JEE two times at the most.
This has been done mainly to reduce stress on students.........

The age limit fot upcoming IIT JEE entrance exam is as follows.
FOR GENERAL CATEGORY STUENTS 18- 20 YEARS.
FOR SC/ ST UPTO 22 YEARS.

The age limit to appear for IIT JEE entrance exam is 25 years for general catagory and 30 years for SC/ST/Physical Disable catagory.

The age limit for appearing in IIT-JEE is 25 years for genaral candidates.

And 5 yeras relixion for SC, ST and PD categories.

born on or after October 1, 1982 for SC, ST and PD candidates
Qualifying Examinations (10+2 or other exams) : To appear in IIT-JEE 2012, a candidate must have either passed the Qualifying Exam for the first time, on or after October 1, 2010 or appearing for the first time in 2012.

Minimum Percentage of marks in Qualifying Exams:

General and OBC: 60%
SC/ST/PD: 55%
Number of Attempts: 2 (max)

The age limit for appearing in IIT-JEE is 25 years. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories, the relaxed age limit is 30 years. Also, starting 2007, a candidate can take the JEE two times at the most to help reduce the level of stress which one goes through for preparing for the entrance exam.

your qualifying exam for IIT-JEE will be

If you are 12th class passout or appearing

else if you are diploma passout or appearing...

Either of these qualification will be consider...

One must score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate that is 60% overall percentage including Physics,chemistry and Maths in your qualifying exam for GENERAL AND OBC..and 55% for SC/ST,PD...

Eligibility for IIT-JEE

In order to appear for the IIT-JEE 2012 you should satisfy the following conditions :-

1) You should be a 12th pass out with 60% or above in PCM

2) You should have passed out your 12th in 2011 or 2012..only then you shall be eligible for appearing in IIT-JEE 2012

You only have 2 attempts for clearing the exam..

Your age should not be more than 25 years

The course for IIT-JEE is same as the course of CBSE 11th and 12th..

So,you first need to be completely thorough with the NCERT books and then for higher preparations..you can refer to the following books :-

1) M.L.Khanna for Maths
2) P.Bahadur for Chemistry
3) Concepts of Physics
4) Past Papers of IIT-JEE









If you solve all the numerical problems of these books then you can be assured of a good rank in IIT-JEE

Furthermore, from 2007 on, students who are selected for admission to an IIT cannot attempt the examination again in the future.

IIT being a competitive exam the aspirants need to prepare well. The exam includes more of cbse syllabus. The academic and other requirement for the exam are
1. The maximum age upto which the aspirant can attempt the exam is 25 . The age is relaxed to 30 for sc and st aspirants.
2. The aspirants can make attempt in the two consecutive years.
3. The academic requirement involves
the aspirant should have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as subject.
Diploma degree holders are eligible to apply for the exam.
Those who have completed their vocational course are eligible
the aspirant should have secured a minimum of 60% in the case of general and backward category. And it is 55% for the sc and st category.

>To sit for the IIT JEE examination you need to ensure minimum 60% of marks at 10+2 level.

>You can give this exam for two consecutive years. However you are not allowed to take any year gap in between the two said years. That means if you give the exam in this year then for one last time you can give the exam in the next year itself.

Its a tough exam to crack so start preparing for it much in an advance.
