Can a student pursuing BCA(Distance) from Sikkim Manipal University apply for IAS exams? Is it necessary for IAS exam that the degree should be of Indian University?

You are pursuing BCA degree from Sikkim Manipal University and want to apply for IAS exam. Following are the eligibility criteria for IAS exam:

Educational qualification: Student must possess graduation degree from any recognized university. It does not matter whether you have completed your graduation through distance mode or regular mode. So you are definitely eligible for IAS exam after completion of graduation course.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 32 years. Relaxation in maximum age limit is given to reserved category students as per govt. norms.

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure consists of Preliminary exam, Mains exam followed by Interview.

Yes, you are very much eligible for IAS exam, here only graduation is required whether it is regular (or) distance mode.
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. IAS exam is conducted one time in a year.
If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IAS exam.
Age criteria:
For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years
Selection process for IAS exam:
1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview
