is there any age limit for appearing in iit examination...Pleaes tell me the limit for it

Minimum requirement of qualification for IIT JEE exam is 12th with PCM .Candidate who have scores at least 60% in 12th are applicable for the exam .Candidate's dates of birth should be on or after 1st October 1986 .One can apply for the exam only twice in their life time .

I think IIT JEE is one of the most toughest exams if India .So if you want to do well then work heard .

IIT JEE entrance exam is conducted every year and for appearing in IIT JEE entrance exam candidate should not be less than 18 yrs of age as on 1st Sept.

Minimum qualification for general,obc and dc candidates are required secure the minimum of 60% marks in their Board examination and other qualifying examination. for sc/st/pd candidates should be secure minimum of 55% marks in respective examination.

A candidate can appear maximum of two times in consecutive years.

Eligibility for IIT-JEE :-

1.The candidate must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with physics ,chem and math.

2. You must score 60% above in 12 th.

If you fulfill the above criteria then you are eligible for IIT JEE.

Your age must be above 18 years to applicable for IIT JEE exam.

Maximum age can be 25 years for a IIT-JEE candidate.I think you are under it and you can sit for IIT-JEE.

Criteria for IIT-JEE :

1.12th standard pass with PCM and minimum 60% marks in that
2.Age must be below 25 years
3.Should have no backlogs.

1.One must have complete the 12th in science with maths , physics and chemistry..

2.One must have 60% aggregate in the 12th.

3.The age should not be more than 25 years.

4.One can appear in IIT-JEE exam twice in the career.

So, if your age is less than 25 years.. Then you can appear in IIT-JEE exam..

IITJEE conducts joint entrance exams for which the eligibility criteria is,
a candidate should have 12th with 60% marks in agreegate and also
60% marks in PCM and a candidate should not be more than 18 yrs
before 1st october.......
there is only 2 attempts to qualify this exam.....

The eligibility criteria

1) student should pass 12th with an aggregate of 60%

2) he have maths,physics and chemistry compulsory subjects in 12th

3) the age must be below 25 years

General (GE) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1987. Those born earlier are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and those with Physical Disability (PD) must have been born on or after October 1, 1982. SC/ST/PD candidates born before October 1, 1982 are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012.

The date of birth as recorded in the high school/first Board/Pre-University certificate will be accepted.

you can take 2 attempts one in 12th class and another after that

Age limit for appearing in IIT exam of OBC candidate is more than 15 years and <=24 years old.

Maximum attepts to give IIT exam is 2 only

To be eligible to appear in IITJEE your age must be below 25 years.
You should have minimum 60% in 12th and 10th class board.
You should have PCM as main subjects in 12th board...

According to eligibility criteria of IIT-JEE 2012,

"Candidate belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be born on or after October 01, 1987 and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must be born on or after October 01, 1982"

Yes there is an age limit to appear for the IITJEE exam. You have to be within 25 years of age and also the maximum interval between the year of passing class XII and the year of appearing for IITJEE should not exceed 2 years.
And there is one more restriction and that is you cannot appear for the exam for more than 2 times.
These are the eligibility criteria for appearing in IITJEE. You also have to secure 60% in your class XII exam.
