There are no specific conditions are imposed on this category ... but PD candidiates are not allowed in this ... u just need normal fitness.

Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Educational Qualification:-
To become IPS officer you have to appear for UPSC exam.
Age limt being 21 to 30 years.Upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category students.
One has to be a graduate or should be a final year graduate student.

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

IPS exam is carried out by the UPSC as to select excellent candidates in the various post in police. There are few physical standards required as to get selected in to the IPS. This is laid out by the UPSC itself. The body weight of the candidate must be in proportion to their height. Height requirement for male candidates are 165 cm. for SC and ST candidates the height requirement is 160 cm

Qualifications for the IPS exam:-

-> Minimum educational qualification is to be a graduate in any field.

-> Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-35 years for the SC/St , 21-33 years for the OBC category.

-> You need to clear the CSAT before appearing for the mains.

-> General categories get 4 , SC/ST get unlimited , OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

For applying for the post of Ips you have two options:
*.Online- throw upsc.gov.in
and
*Offline-throw application forms which one can buy from any head post office.

The education qualification for I.P.S. is gradution pass from any recoqnized university.

There is no requriment of any special stearm for ips exam. It will be easier for a arts background candidate to crack the exam because the ips syllabus contains more matters of arts subjects.

A twelve pass student is not eligible for ips examinations. The minimum qualification required is a pass in graduaction in any field.

a bba pass candidate can apply for ips examinations because it is a recognized gradution course.

IPS - Indian Police Service

It is one of the Indian Civil Service exam and the exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

The candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria's for applying for the IPS exam.
