For Prelims:

• NCERT Books from class 6th-12th Standard
• India Year Book
• Two Magazines Ex: Pratiyoigtha Darpan and Frontline
• The Hindu and Tiems Of India daily paper
• India Economic Survey by Government of India
• R.S.Agarwal and Arun Sharma aptitude books
• General studies Spectrum Edition
• Modern History Spectrum Publications
• Indian Polity-- Laxmikanth

After this you need to select two MAINS OPTIONAL SUBJECTS. For them again there are other books you need to study once you decide the optional.

For interview there are no special books but to take tips and guidance from coaching institutes.
