The marks secured in board examination of 12th does not hold any relevance for preparation of Indian Administrative Services. To become Indian Administrative Services officer, you need to prepare for Civil Services examination. Civil Services examination is conducted by UPSC for different services like IAS, IPS, IRS etc.

The academic qualification required for this exam is bachelor's degree and the age limit is 21-32 years. You can start your preparation after 12th without caring about any percentage issue in 12th.

I.A.S stands for Indian Administrative Service and examination conducted by UPSC for recruitment as an Officer.

The required eligibility to appear in examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline with qualifying marks. The age limit is 21-32 years.

There is nothing to do with aggregate of 12th board examination to appear in Civil Service examination.

So, you just need to focus on your preparation for examination to qualify in all three stages after completion of bachelor degree.

To get syllabus and other details for examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

There is no required aggregate in 12th std to appear for Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC for recruitment as an I.A.S Officer.

The required qualification to appear is candidate must have passed or pursuing in final year of degree in a recognised university.

The age limit is between 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category. There is also limitation on number of attempts to appear for examination.

Candidates just need to secure minimum qualifying aggregate in each subject of 12th and bachelor degree to appear for examination.

So, if you want to become IAS Officer in future prepare for examination with dedication, determination and devotion to your preparation.

You can start preparing for IAS examination from third year of your graduation course. The age criteria required to appear in IAS examination is 21 to 32 years. It is good that you are interested to become IAS officer in your future. You have selected a nice career option by which you can get both the recognition and a chance to serve the country.

The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates to become IAS officer is Graduation.

Only the candidates who completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university are eligible to make entry into civil services.

No percentage of marks criteria is there in 12th class and Graduation.

Hence if you are able to complete both 10+2 and Graduation, then you are eligible for the selection process.

The selection process consists of 3 rounds
CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

In addition to the academics criteria, the candidate should also meet age criteria which is
-Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-32 years.
-Candidates of OBC category should be in the age group of 21-35 years.
-Candidates of SC/ST category should be in the age group of 21-37 years.

I would suggest you to opt for the Graduation with the stream as per your interest and complete it.

Start preparation for civil services exam from the very beginning of your Graduation from a top coaching institute and crack it in the first attempt itself.

I.A.S ( Indian Administrative Service ) and for selection you have to qualify in Civil Service examination.

So, know doubt there is no limitation on aggregate of 12th and bachelor degree to appear in UPSC examination.

I am pleased with your determination to become an I.A.S Officer but along with determination you also need to do hard and smart work to qualify in examination.

For qualifying in examination one need to pursue with proper strategy according to syllabus of examination.

Percentage of 12th standard does not matter in IAS exam, however you must have 40% marks to get admission in graduation degree. The minimum education qualification required to appear in IAS exam is graduation degree with minimum 55% marks from any recognized university/institute.
