Re: What can I do after 12th for IPS or IAS?
You must apply for graduation and complete it. Only after graduating college you can appear for the Civil Service Examination. Now it is up to you to decide the course for graduation. It can be B.A, B.Tech, B.Com etc.
It would be better if you pick a course in which you see good scope for yourself. So that in case you fail to make it for IAS/IPS, you would still have a good career option. Therefore if you are science stream student then consider option like Engineering etc. Upon completing of graduation, you can apply for the Civil Service Examination. If you want to apply for IPS, then start preparing for physical requirements as well. You should be able to meet certain criteria for height, vision, chest etc. Failing to do so would qualify you. IAS/IPS Eligibility 1. To appear for Civil Service Examination, candidate should be Indian. 2. A bachelor degree in any stream from a recongized university. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of examination year. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. IPS Physical Requirements Height Male - 165 cm (General) and minimum of 150 cm (ST) Female - 150 cm (General) and 145 cm (ST) Chest Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm Eye Sight: 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Inerview |
