You mean to say choosing the MBA course after BE is correct or wrong.

As of now lot of BE graduates are pursuing MBA instead of other PG Programs.
Here some of the Advantages are means after MBA You will be one of higher authorized person and Part of Management in any Recognized institute or industry.
You can have the chances to serve in all Fields like technical, commercial, Public Sector as well as teaching Field.

Think over the different things what to do in future and decide.

Best of Luck.

It is generally not recommended to do MBA after B.Tech. But a large number of candidates prefers to do that. Having completed MBA after B.Tech carries weightage which helps in getting the job.

Therefore although I will not recommend you can certainly apply for the Master of Business Administration. There are various streams of MBA. You should carefully choose the stream which you find interesting. Some examples are:

Finance

Banking

Management

Marketing

IT

Retail Management

Human Resources

To apply for the MBA you will have to clear a entrance exam. There are several options for the MBA entrance exams. Some popular choices are:

CAT

GMAT

XAT

MAT

The CAT or Common Admission Test is highly recommended. If you can score good marks in it and take admission in the Indian Institutes of Management, your future will be secure.

Common Admission Test is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management on the yearly basis.

You can apply for the exam if scored 50 percent marks in any graduation course including B.Tech. The SC and ST students need 45 percent marks in the graduation degree.

If you are unable to secure admission despite clearing CAT or you are not eligible for the exam, please don't worry since there are various other options.

Best option for such students will be either Management Aptitude Test or the XAvier Aptitude Test. Both exams don't have percentage criteria.

Its very wise decision to choose MBA after Btech as after doing MBA you will have both managerial and technical skills. You will be offered handsome salary packages by companies as you will have both skills which is ultimate requirement of company.
So start preparing for CAT exam which is the top level entrance exam for MBA, based on its scores you will get admission in B-schools.
All the Best...!

I would say its a good move if you are planning to go for MBA as this course will introduce you to non-engineering concepts such as those in marketing, strategy, finance, operations, business ethics, entrepreneurship etc. You will also get extra attention and credibility in your career for this course.

As you must be knowing that there is innumerable institutes in India for this course. The demand is such that to cope up with the rising demand the no. of colleges around is no less. But here one needs to be cautious when choosing the right institution because that will make the right difference in your career. Before coming to that let me tell you the areas of specialization available for you:-
  • MBA in Accounting
  • MBA in Decision Sciences
  • MBA in E-commerce/E-Business
  • MBA in Economics
  • MBA in Entrepreneurship
  • MBA in Finance
  • MBA in General Management
  • MBA in Health Care Management
  • MBA in Human Resources
  • MBA in International Business
  • MBA in Management Information Systems
  • MBA in Management
  • MBA in Marketing
  • MBA in Operations/Production Management
  • MBA in Taxation
  • MBA in Technology Management
  • MBA in Quantitative Analysis

As mentioned earlier that the institute you choose is of utmost importance here and to get the top rung ones you should go for CAT or Common Admission Test which is conducted by the IIMs. They are the best in this department and therefore needless to say that CAT is the most popular and the toughest exam to crack. But if you get the break then there's no looking back.

Since the number of students applying for this course is so high that your chances may look slim. In that case following are the top MBA Entrance exams you can look forward to other than CAT:-
  • Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
  • Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)
  • Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
  • žJoint Management Entrance Exam (JMET)
  • žSymbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)
  • žAIMS Test for Management Admission (ATMA)
  • žICFAI Business School Aptitude Test ( IBSAT)
  • žNMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT)
  • žFMS Admission Test

If you have 50% of marks at graduation level then you will be allowed to sit for the CAT exam. This exam is conducted usually in the month of November. With CAT score you can not only study in IIMs but also in the other top rung B-Schools. Since IIM is a private institution therefore CAT Score wont be accepted by any other Universities.

If your marks don't add up to that marks then you can go for exams like CAT, MAT or IIFT where the minimum marks to obtain does not matters much. So on securing 40% of marks at graduation level you will be asked to sit for these entrance exams.

Hope this helps :-> :->

Hi

First of all its really nice to know that you want to do MBA ahead in your career and higher studies. This is the best post graduation course which is available in the market as of now.

MBA - Masters in Business Administration. Its a full time 2 years course which is for the corporate jobs and profiles like Finance, HR, etc. So its necessary for growth in a particular company.

Now if you ask how should you get enrolled in an MBA course, then there are a lot of entrance exams and I am naming a few as :-

CAT-Common Admission Test which is the top most and toughest to crack. Its conducted by the IIM's for the admissions in them. Some of the others are MAT, GMAT, NMAT, IBSAT, IIFT, XAT, etc and many more these being the top most.

So at first you have to fill in for these forms and entrances and then you have to apply for them prior and at the right dates i.e before the closing dates. Then you would have to appear for these and you would be tested on your:

GENERAL QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE
LOGICAL REASONING
DATA INTERPRETATION
GENERAL ENGLISH

So you have to be like experts in these studies and for which you would have to practice a lot. If you are a B.Tech, then the Eligibility Criteria's are you should be in your final year of B.Tech/done with it. You should not have any backlogs at the time of joining any MBA college. Age is not a criteria in this and nor are attempts.

Thus when you would be able to crack any one of these exams, then they would start calling you for their GD/PI sessions. They would be Group Discussions and Personal Interview sessions which is also something that you have to clear and crack before you can get admission in any of the top colleges. This is done to know the candidate as a personality and check his thinking skills and abilities.

Then if you are able to crack it, you would be offered admission and be provided the details about the course. The common MBA domains are :-

Finance, HR, Sales and Marketing, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Process Outsourcing, IT, etc and many more. So you have choose the best that suits your interest.

Hope this helps
All the best
Regards
