As a general soldier the educational qualification required is SSLC/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate. Percentage will not be considered if you have higher qualification.The age limit is from 17 and 1/2 -21 years.

There are various other streams for entry which you can try out for like:-

Soldier Technical:-The qualification required is 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English.The age limit is from 17 and 1/2 to 23 years.

SoldierClerk / StoreKeeper Technical:- The qualification required is 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in any stream(Arts,Commerce,Science)with 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% in each subject.The age limit is from 17 and 1/2 to 23 years.

Soldier Nursing Assistant:-The qualification required is 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in Science with Physics,Chemistry,Biologyand English with min 50% marks in aggregate and minimum of 40% in each subject.Percentage will not be considered if you have higher qualification.The age limit is from 17 and 1/2 to 23 years.

The current age limit to join army as a 'soldier' rank, is= 18-23 yr.
Direct selection procedure is organised by nearest army head quarters. Candidate will have to qualify physical as well as mental ability tests.commencement of selection procedures are published in daily news paper and 'employement news paper'.
If you want to join indian army as on officer rank, then UPSC conducts CDS (combined defence services), twice in a year.

Only for General soldier there required age limit between 17.5years to 21years.
But all this post Soldier Technical,Soldier clark/Store keeperTechnical,Soldier Nurssing Assistant there requred age limit between 17.5years to 23years.

If you are belonging from general cast then for you the age criteria is 17 1/2-21 years, for more details you can see Indian defense website.

As your age is above 24, so you are not eligible to join the army, if you belong to the general category.
You may have age relaxations, in case you elong to the reserved category.

The main requirement is of being physical strong which you should maintain for going any field in indian army

For soldier agr is 19 - 23 year.
To join indian army you have to fulfill these basic criterias:

1)your age should be 19 to 23 years old.
2)you should be medically sound.

after you fulfill these criterias you can then give the following exams to join indian army,you can join logistic cadre in indian army:

UES-University Entry Scheme.
SSC-Short Service Commission.
CDS-Combined Defence Service

1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year.

hello friend,
you have wrote about your age only,i can suggest you for CDS examination for OTA (officers training acadamy) where the age limit is upto 25 years and minimum educational qualification is graduation from any govt registered institutions, affiliated to state or central education board,i will also suggest you for CPF (central police force) assistant commandant an officer in paramilitary where age limit is 25 yrs and educational qualification is graduation.

the age limit for this rexam 16.5-19,there are no any kind of age relaxation for BACK WORDS caste.

you can also go through IMA.

The age limit for joining army as a soldier is 16.5 years to 19 years if you are applying for the 10+2 criteria.

If you are a graduate, then the age limit is 19-25 years.

You should have done your gradation with a minimum 50% aggregate.

There are several examination for the entry in Indian Army.
I am providing you some Age Criteria for various exams for Army post given below:

for NDA (10+2) is 16-19.5 years.

For CDS (graduate) is 19-24 years.

For SSC constable (10) is 18-23 years.

For graduate in Engineering stream is 20-27 years.

For University Entry Scheme(student of final and pre-final years of engineering degree course) is 18-25 years.
