to join isro or nasa you will have to give aieee and iit jee exam and secure a good position among the top rankers. Then you will get admission in the institute of isro. Also from this year isro had started conducting their own exam. If you pass that exam then you will be doing your btech from their institute.

After 12th to become a part of ISRO or NASA.
first of all you have to do B.Tech and then you have to submit research paper .
if it is satisfactory then you will be called.

For ISRO you have to be degree in BTECH with 65%, age limit 35 years, there forms available in february, a written test taken followed by a screening test,you may know more about it from: www.isro.gov.in
For NASA EXAM is conducted every year for that you have to qualify any civil services exam it has three exam patterns 1st in may 2nd in october then followed by interview or physicals.

To join NASA its tough but not impossible and its definately possible to join ISRO.

To join NASA you have to have a degree minimum and then you will have to apply for NASA through their website or offline methods. Its kinda tough to get into NASA dont know why. Some say that you should have some good connections or you should be so extraordinary that NASA will instantly hire you.
Mostly for NASA a degree in Aeronautical Engineering will be the best.

And to get into ISRO its not that tough. You can give ISAT entrance exam. I heard that they have some jobs reserved for top students of IIST as its related to ISRO.
Or if you dont get though ISAT dont worry. Do you degree in Aeronautical or Computer or Electronics etc and later jobs will open where which you have to apply online or offline.
There is an entrance test which test your skills as an engineer in engineering subjects and also in maths physics. So be well versed with this if you want to get through.

Rest it depends on your hardwork. If you really have the talent in you then dont worry ISRO and NASA will come to you to hire you for a job. So work hard in your engineering subjects and try to master the engineering concepts..

well .... these two are the best areas of job which a man can think i.e. NASA and ISRO (indian nasa )

i would like to tell you that these two institutions are most hot favourites one's among all the aerospace engineering students of india and hence the difficulty to beat the competetion but one must not lose hope as there are large no. of recruitments also every year ....

these two institutions admits the students entirely on different grounds . I am specifying them separately ...

-ADMISSION TO NASA (national aeronautics and space administration ) :::

The most important thing for preparing to find a job at NASA is that you study what you like and work hard to achieve your goals.

NASA runs OLC (online learning community ) which is the only thing that a 12th grade student can get but for that you must have to be a U.S. citizen so you can't apply for NASA at present .

NASA is looking for people with a whole variety of backgrounds: they are looking for medical doctors, microbiologists, geologists, physicists, electrical engineers.

you need to first complete your B.Tech from some affiliated college such as IITs , IISCs .. and than you have to go for master degree in learning sciences and than you will be eligible to go for it...

-ADMISSION TO ISRO ( indian research space organisation ) :::

you have to crach either IIT JEE or ISAT(conducted by IIST to admit students to it's various B.Tech programs , which is conducted on the basis of 11th and 12th syllabii ...
the minimum eligibility for ISAT is 70% in PCM in class 12th ..

After cracking it you will be provided B.Tech course free of cost after which you will be absorbed for 1 year training at ISRO and than you will be appointed as an ISRO scientist ..

So find something that you really like and then pursue it as far as you can and these institutes apt to be interested in that profession.

SHIVAM TYAGI, Prepare yourself for the examination named ISAT conducted by IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology), Trivandrum, Kerala. It is presently functioning in the specially created premises in the Campus of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. is declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, was set up under Department of Space, Goverment of India, and offers undergraduates B Tech programme in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering and Physical Sciences. IIST also offers post graduate and doctoral programmes to meet the requirements of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

NOTE : You require 70% each in the 10th level and in 10+2 level. The institute has only 156 seats in the B. Tech programme altogether in Avionics, Aerospace Engg and Physical Sciences. Thus, the exam is really tough.

You can apply for IIST exam after 12th to become a part of ISRO or NASA.

Getting into NASA or ISRO is a bit difficult. It is good that you have taken Science in 12th
for getting into ISRO directly there is an institute IIST(Indian Inst. of Space Science and Tech.) . You have to appear the exam or IIST it is called ISAT. After qualifying in ISAT you will get into IIST which is affliated to ISRO . moreover IIST guarranties job in ISRO. But for getting into NASA you have to do Aeronautical Engg. from IITs . If you do Aeronautical or Aviation Engg. it is advised to do either from IITs or IIST oterwise doing from any other universities wont have much importance.

Dear Shivam,

One is the source that you can take admission into a Astrology, another is you take admission in the B.Sc. Geology and Zoology because in NASA their are the vacancies of Geologists for the study of the soil and environment of new planet and Zoologists for fulfill of requirement for the survival of the organism in that planet, also if the new organism will found then to study its all metabolic activity.
In all the sense you should be a scientists rather than a worker.

If you want to NASA or ISRO for both you need to finish up your graduation. Best would be to do a graduation in aerospace or aerounautics. You can also look forward for working in these organisations after you do your graduation and post graduation in Science, basically in physics.

Dear the best you to proceed towards your future is that you should do the Aeronautical Engg.

Aeronautical Engg. is the one of the process by which you can be a part of NASA or ISRO.

SO think and look forward for it.

i am very happy that you are interested in ISRO or NASA.

you can join NASA by passing IITs as a scientist.

also NASA conducts special exams of junior scientist.

for NASA you have to appear for exams conducted by NASA

as it is american organisation so you have to be a citizen of USA.

you can join ISRO after your graduation.

to join isro it will be better if you do engineering in EC.

as isro takes many communication engineers, so it will be very good option after your 12th to join in ISRO.

to join in ISRO minimum 65% marks in engineering is essentially require.

really your choice is very good and this has a very bright future ,there is a lot of chances and opportunity to development of your carrier in this field you can join ISRO or NASA after your graduation (Btech) or (Mtech).

I have cleared my 12th with maths and biology. As i want to be a doctor i have given various pmts but didn't get admission in government college. So, i am doing bsc maths. But now i am getting admission in government dental college. Should i go for bds or continue with bsc maths?

after 12th you may jion some scientific course raleted to nasa or isro then study your bechlor degree as per the format ..

or after 12th persuing BE or Btech after that you apply for Isro.

I think i am first Bhutanese to ask a question. So Sir, is there any possibility for for me to join nasa?.... Just now i am very much interested in physics and maths.... But i don't think that i'll have satisfactory life ahead untill i learn and discover a lot many things. I think that i'll also be not satisfied even if i become a great person who is well known in world as pride only last for a moment while discoveries and knowledge last forever. This year, on December i am running for class twelve... With maths and physics. Thank you

Sir, I am passionately interested in astrophysics as well as particle physics and to make new gadgets and discover theoretical facts is my hobby and I have an interest in it but I have not found any branch of engineering which can make me eligible to become a scientist, so will you please help me to choose, which educational faculty will help me to become scientist in NASA or ISRO or become part of Large hydron collider project.
