Re: What is the eligibility criteria for taking admission in engineering college?
You have to pass 12th class in science stream to join for engineering course. PCM should be opted as main subjects in 12th class. Another important criterion being that 50% marks should be scored in qualifying examination. Since, you have scored 80% marks you can definitely apply for engineering course in reputed colleges. Admission will include common entrance test. You need to attend AIEEE/JEE etc and get good marks in it. You will be called for counseling based on CET score in which you can opt the particular specialization stream.

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for taking admission in engineering college?
Hello,
To get admission in an engineering college, one must clear competitive exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE, and other state level entrance exams like COMED K, WBJEE, MHCET, etc. Once you clear any of these exams, you are entitled to get a seat in an engineering college. To sit for these entrance exams one must have completed his 12th with PCM from any recognised board with a minimum of 50% in aggregate and 60% marks for eligible to take IIT JEE. You have got 80% marks so you are eligible for these exams. Just prepare yourself and apply for these exams. Best of luck. |

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for taking admission in engineering college?
Yes you are eligible to apply for B.Tech course. The admission would depend on your performance in the entrance exam. Earlier the entrance exams used to be IIT-JEE and AIEEE, however central government has decided to scrap both these exams and from next year you would have to appear in ISEET entrance exam.
ISEET stands from Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test. This entrance exam is proposed by the Human Resources and Development Minister, Kapil Sibal. The proposed ISEET entrance exam is going to replace AIEEE and IIT-JEE from next year. However states have decided to continue with their own separate entrance exams. While some states have reservations about the ISEET exams, others want to wait at least couple of years before introducing it on state level. The only state was has so far agreed for the ISEET entrance exam is Gujarat. Therefore in 2013, the ISEET exam would only cover institutes that are funded by the central government. To be exact, I am talking about NIITs and IITs, who have agreed to accept the ISEET entrance exam. Since you have scored moe than 80 percent marks in 12th board, you can appear in the ISEET entrance exam. Your good performance in 12th board will also play major role in marks you will get in the ISEET entrance exam. Eligibility 1. You should pass 12th standard with PCM as subjects from a recognised board in India. 2. You need to score at least 40 percent marks in 12th board. Exam Pattern ISEET Main: The ISEET exam would consist two papers. First one would be called ISEET Main. It would include: Reading Comprehension & Critical Thinking Logical Reasoning ISEET Advance The second paper for the Engineering entrance exam would be ISEET Advance. It would take place on the same day as ISEET Main. Problem Solving Ability in Basic Science Subjects You will get 3 hours each for both papers. Selection Process The selection process would be different for ISEET comparing to IIT-JEE and AIEEE. Apart from your performance in the 2 ISEET papers, your performance in 12th would also play major role. ISEET Main and Advance exam would weight 30 percent each while remaining 40 percent weightage would be given to candidate's performance in 12th board. Institutes Acception ISEET 2013 IIT Delhi IIT Guwahati IIT Roorkee IIT Kharagpur IIT Bombay IIT Madras IIT Kanpur IIT Ropar IIT Bhubaneswar IIT Hyderabad IIT Gandhinagar IIT Patna IIT Rajasthan IIT Mandi IIT Indore IIT (BHU) Varanasi Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Malaviya National Institute of Technology Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology National Institute of Technology - Yupia/NITDGP Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology S V National Institute of Technology - Surat National Institute of Technology - Warangal National Institute of Technology - Tiruchirappalli National Institute of Technology - Srinagar National Institute of Technology - Silchar National Institute of Technology - Patna National Institute of Technology - Kurukshetra National Institute of Technology - Jamshedpur National Institute of Technology - Rourkela National Institute of Technology - Raipur National Institute of Technology - Karaikal/NITT National Institute of Technology - Hamirpur National Institute of Technology - Durgapur National Institute of Technology - Calicut National Institute of Technology - Agartala |
