i am a student of b.tech final year in electronics and comm. what kind of jobs are available in air force or indian army that i can apply in my final year or completing my degree? how can i apply for them?

YOU can apply for the CDS exams

Eligibilty for the CDS exams is:

Education:
Indian Military Academy (IMA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream
Officers Training Academy (OTA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream
Indian Airforce- Graduation Pass with Physics and Mathematics as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH
Indian Navy - BE/BTECH


AGE LIMITS-
IMA- Between 19- 24 years
OTA Between 19- 25 years
NAVY - Between 19- 22 years
AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years

Only MALE candidates can apply all the wings
FEMALE candidates are allowed to apply for the OTA wing only
CDS 2014 Exams dates:
Exam date- 9th Feb 2014
Notification would come out on 2nd Nov 2013

Exam date- 26th October 2014
Notification would come out on 19th July 2014

You can apply for CDS and AFCAT if you have completed B.Tech. These exams are for those who want to join as an Officer in Indian Air Force.

Being a B.Tech. Graduate you are surely eligible for Indian Air Force. But for joining Indian Air Force as an officer you have to succeed in the examination like CDS and AFCAT.

Age Limit for CDS Exam:

Age limit for Indian Air Force academy is 19 to 23 years. As you want to join Indian Air Force you have to fulfill this age criteria.

There are other academies also in CDS exam. If you are interested then you can apply for them.

Indian Naval Academy: 19 to 22 years

Indian Military Academy : 19 to 24 years

Officers' Training Academy : 19 to 25 years

For AFCAT also your age should be 19 to 23 years.

Selection Procedure:

Selection is on merit and you have to score top marks in the written and SSB.

After you qualify the above stages then you have to undergo medical examination. You must be medically fit then only you can join Indian Air Force.

It is a very great idea to join Indian air force after completing your B.Tech Degree. After that you can apply for the below exams:

1). CDS exams-Conducted by UPSC

Min eligibility is graduate with pry and maths or BE/Btech (four year course)

Min age-19 years

max age-23 years

only Indian Male can apply

2). Aeronautical engineering -Technical brach

Min eligibility is be/b tech with min 60% marks

age should be between 18 and 28 years

3). Ground duty branch and logistics branch also

age between 19 years and 23 years

To apply for Airforce after completing B.Tech then you must pass AFCAT exam.
AFCAT stands for Airforce Common Admission Test.

All the candidates must be in the age of 19 - 23 years to apply for AFCAT exam

The candidates must complete degree with atleast 60% marks to get posted in
1. Ground Duty posts

The candidates must complete B.Tech or B.Sc with atleast 55% or more marks to get posted in
1. Technical branch
2. Flying branch

The post graduates upper age limit is 25 years. The candidates must be unmarried to be eligible for AFCAT, if you are below 25 years only.

Also the candidates must be healthy and medically fit to get trained in Airforce

As you are a B.Tech candidate you will be mainly placed in the Technical or Flying Branch only.
