Re: What are the jobs available for me after SSC?
Careers after SSC:
Following are the list of courses that can be done after SSC. HSC in Science Stream (2 Years) HSC in Commerce Stream (2 Years) HSC in Arts Stream (2 Years) Engineering Diploma (3 or 4 Years) ITI (Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Stenographer, Mechanical Draughtsman) (2 Years) Army Navy, Air Force (Defense) Police Dept. Exam LIC Agent Fine Art / Commercial Art Diploma (5 Years) Art Teacher Diploma (2 Years) Railway Ticket Collector (T.C.) Bank Insurance Clerical Exam Diploma in Dance / Music (2 Years) Certified Building Supervisor (6 Months or 1 Year) Diploma in Farm Management (6 Months or 1 Year) Medical Laboratory Technician Certification Course (MLT) (2 Years) MS-CIT Course Government Jobs: There are numerous jobs as a clerk or stenographer with various offices of the Government of Maharashtra. After your SSC you need to clear the MPSC (Maharashtra State Public Service Commission) examinations. Stenographers need a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. (English) or 30 w.p.m. (Marathi). Shorthand speed of 120 w.p.m. is necessary. If you seek a life with a bit of adventure in it, then you can always join the police forces as a Police Constable. Of course you need to clear written test, a physical test, and an interview as well. However, according to Dr. Kaila, merely joining a reputed institute is not enough. “You will have to put in a lot of hard work and dedication if you wish to make a success out of your life,” he explains. So think long and hard. Evaluate all the pros and cons and make a well-informed decision. As Komal Singh, an SSC student puts it, “SSC is a crossroad, which points to many different directions.” Choose your road wisely. |
