Government Jobs:
There are numerous jobs as a clerk or stenographer with various offices of the Government of Maharashtra.

After your SSC you need to clear the MPSC (Maharashtra State Public Service Commission) examinations.

Stenographers need a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. (English) or 30 w.p.m. (Marathi). Shorthand speed of 120 w.p.m. is necessary.

If you seek a life with a bit of adventure in it, then you can always join the police forces as a Police Constable. Of course you need to clear written test, a physical test, and an interview as well.

However, according to Dr. Kaila, merely joining a reputed institute is not enough. “You will have to put in a lot of hard work and dedication if you wish to make a success out of your life,” he explains.

So think long and hard. Evaluate all the pros and cons and make a well-informed decision. As Komal Singh, an SSC student puts it, “SSC is a crossroad, which points to many different directions.” Choose your road wisely.
