You can join in Indian Army in two way - After 12th standard and after graduation degree.

For after 12th standard , you can try for NDA exam .

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.

The candidate must have a complete the 12th from a recognized university Or equivalent qualification are applicable for NDA exam.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

Height for NDA Exam:-

For Army Wings - 157.5 cms
For Air Force - 162.5 cms
For Naval Academy - 157 cms

For after Graduation degree , you can try for CDS exam .

CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Air force, Army and Navy.

If you have completed graduation degree from recognized university then you are applicable for

The Age limit for CDS exam is given below-

For IMA: 19-24 years
For Naval Academy: 19-22 years
For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years
For Officers Training Academy: 19-25 years

The minimum Height for Indian Military Academy :157.5cm

Dear Friend,

As you are wishing to join Indian Army you can did it by Two Ways by applying Either of 1)NDA exam 2) CDS exam....


NDA stands for National Defense Academy

This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in Year in Month of June and December called NDA-II and NDA-I......


NDA exam is conducted in Three Wings:

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force


If you have completed 12th std from recognized Board then you are eligible for NDA exam...

Final years students also eligible for it...

Age of candidate should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years....

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it..

A Candidate have nationality of INDIA...

For apply NDA exam the minimum education qualification is 10+2 pass from a recognized Board.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice time in a year.


Eligibility criteria for Indian Army wing:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam of a recognized School or Board and

studying in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for Army

wings.

There is no minimum marks required for NDA Examination .

Age limit:-

Age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

There is No age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam.

Only unmarried Male candidate are eligible to apply this exam.

The minimum height required for Indian Army is - 157.5 cms

Sir I have 156cm height and I am 20 year &I Have passed my 12the from CBSE board Delhi so May I Apply for Indian army.

Can i join indian army with 149cm height in cds if their any relaxation for ex-service men child.
