Graduates are eligible to apply for SBI PO exam. A pass mark in graduation is necessary for this post. But, another major criterion is that graduation should be done from an institute which is recognized. The age limit for this exam is 21-30 years. Log in to the official site of SBI and apply for the same via online. You should pass written exam for this post. If you get a good score in this, you will get a chance to attend GD and P.I.

Yes you are eligible to sit for the SBI PO exam because all graduates can apply for this exam. The percentage you have acquired at UG level is of little or no significance here since you just need to secure the pass marks somehow.

To know more about the detailed eligibility criteria of this post please read the information written below:-

SBI PO Exam Details:-
  • Only graduates can apply for this course. So after completing graduation you can apply for this course. You need to get the degree from a recognized university.
  • The minimum percentage to obtain has not been mentioned so if you have the pass marks then count yourself in.
  • Your age should not be less than 21 years when applying for this exam. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.
  • There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. It is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for persons with disabilities.

There are two phases in SBI PO exam which you need to go through. First phase is the written examination and the second phase consists of Group Discussion and Interview session.

It is important to do well in both the phases since marks of both the phases are considered before taking the final decision.

The written exam has two tests: Objective Test and Descriptive Test. You need to pass in both the tests to qualify to the next round of selection.

There are four sections under objective test and for each section 50 marks have been allotted. So the total marks allotted is 200 and to complete the whole paper you will get only two hours to complete the paper.

Areas of Weightage:

English language - 50 marks
General awareness, Marketing and computers - 50 marks
Data analysis and interpretation - 50 marks
Reasoning - 50 marks

For the descriptive section you will get one hour to finish the paper. This paper aims at testing your English language. In this test you need to write comprehension, short precis, letter writing and essay for a given topic.

For group discussion 20 marks have been allotted and for interview session 30 marks have been allotted. If you pass in the written exam you will be called for the interview session.

Hope this helps

hi
the percentage required for giving the bank PO exam is 60% aggregate in graduation. a relaxation of 5% is given to the sc/st students. You have a good percentage in post graduation but the post graduation marks are not required or asked in giving the PO exam.
