THE IPS EXAM IS CONDUCTED UNDER UPSC EVERY YEAR.
only graduate candidates under the age of 21-30 years can appear for the exam. The physical standards for the IPS exam is given below- Height-minimum 165cms for male and minimum 150cms for female chest-unexpanded minimum 84cm for males unexpanded minimum 79cm for females and minimum 5cms expansion Weight-the weight needed is as per your height. good luck |

There is relaxation of 5cm and height should be 160cm. >>For Female candidate height should be 150cm and relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidate and height should be 145cm. >>For Male Candidate chest should be 84 cm and expansion 5cm. >>For Female Candidate Chest should be 79cm and Expansion 5cm. >>Your Eye sight should be 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for poor eye and you should have 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. |

First you can appear for Civil Examination Civil Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Physical Standards for IPS Educational Qualification for Civil Examination >> Candidates must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university >> Final Year students also eligible for this examination >> There is no percentage required for this examination Age Limit >> Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates 3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates Attempts Maximum 4 attempts for General Candidates Maximum 7 attempts for OBC candidates all the best...... For IPS you also need to clear certain physical & medical standards as listed below:- Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic. Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels. Nasal- clear and free from any polyps and injury, both nasal passages should be clear. Speech- The candidate should not stammer while speaking. Height – Male 165 cm Male (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC) – 160 cm Female 150 cm Female (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC)- 145 cm Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. Blood pressure (High) - 123– 127. Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test. The physical standards are a rigorous training at the NPA, which includes weekly run for 10 k.m. in 60 minutes, route march for 25 k.m. For the preparation of IPS exam you should join any leading coaching institute. You should schedule your time table for the preparation and strictly follow it. You should specially concentrate to GS section it is very broad part and has no limit. You will be aware about current affairs and what is happening around of you. You Should study from reference books. NCERT is considered as good books for the preparation of UPSC exam. Thanks..... |
