I want to do llb from punjab university while m doing bba final year, so what should be the procedure of doing llb. Correspondence or anyway. Kindly answer my query please. Thanku

LLB stands for Bachelor of Laws. This is a 3 years long bachelor course for those who are interested in becoming lawyers. Considering that we have huge shortage of lawyers in India, it is nice to see that you are willing to pursue it.


The procedure of taking admission for LLB correspondence and regular is almost the same. You will have to meet all the requirements criteria to be eligible for the course. The procedure of admission could vary in a sense that while some colleges may give admission on merit, others would ask you to appear for entrance exam.


If you want to pursue LLB from Punjab University then it would be essential to appear for entrance exam. The name of the entrance exam is Punjab CET Law. This entrance exam need to be passed for candidates to get admission for BA LLB or LLB course in Punjab University.


Eligibility

1. You must have graduation degree in any stream.

2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation for General.

3. 40 percent marks in graduation for SC/ST.



In Punjab University, 85 percent seats are reserved for students based in Punjab while 15 percent seats are reserved for candidates outside of Punjab.


The Punjab CET Law exam for 2012 has been concluded in June. You can take admission for LLB course by appearing for the entrance exam next year.

University School of Open Learning of punjab university were not offering LLB course in Correspondence. So you have to go for regular course only after you Degree course
