Dear Aspirant

Being a Graduate you are eligible to apply for Indian Army. You can join Indian Army for Officer post. To join it you need to appear in Combined Defence Service Examination i.e. CDSE. CDSE is conducted by Union Public Service Compassion(UPSC) twice in a year as CDSI & CDSII.

Basic Requirements for CDSE(Indian Army):

You should be Graduate degree holder in any stream from recognized university.

Final years are also eligible to appear in this exam on provisional basis.

To join Indian Army through CDSE, your Age should be in between 19 to 24 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to appear in this exam & should be an Indian citizen.

You can join Indian Army as an Officer through appearing entrance exam like NDA and CDS depending upon your educational qualification.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream form a recognised Board within the age og 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and mental health.

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years, can apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS with good Physical Fitness.

The selection for both the cases are through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

In order to join the Indian Army you have to appear for the Combined Defence Service Examination that is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission)twice a year.
The notification about the CDS exams are updated in the UPSC website.

You have to be a citizen of India or a subject of bhutan or a subject of Nepal or either a Tibet Ian refugee.
If you are not born earlier than 2nd January ,1988 and not later than 1st January ,1994 then you are eligible to appear for the exams.
You need to complete your degree from a recognized university.

If you are in the final year of your graduation course then you are eligible to appear for the examination.you need to submit the proof out the degree on the given date of year.

You want to become a ARMY officer,. I appreciate it,.. In order to become a army officer, just after the completion of the 12th class, you must have to crack the NDA exam (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) EXAM, this examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year for two times.
Through this NDA examination, you can apply for the-

1. INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF)
2. NAVAL ACADEMY (NA)
3.INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA)

1. WRITTEN TEST
2. SSB
3. PHYSICAL EXAM.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION-

A candidate must has a 12th degree from the recognized board.
