What is the procedure to take admission in b.tech by lateral entry?

Sir,i am a diploma student.i m in cipet in course-diploma in plastic mould technology(6th semester).I want to take admission in mechanical branch in b.tech from P.T.U or I.P.U .will it take admission me in these branch and what is the procedure?

applying for lateral entry is same as for BTECH in most of the cases
for example cusat and others. and for state run institute there is
separate exam held

yes u can get admission in b-tech.if u are from u.p. then u have to apply throgh SEE-UPTU ENTRANCE EXAMTHAT IS CONDUCTED EVERY YEAR IN THE MONTH OF APRIL. application forms are issed from the month of february every year .
similiarly for other state engineering entrance exams
MPSEE- FOR M.P.
PUNJAB CEAT etc.

what is the procedure for joining other state students in tamil nadu polytechnics?

I have not so much knowledge about all it
but you can get knowledge about all it for this you should consult to some faculty
they can give you right directions for all it
but to get admission in B.Tech through lateral entry
for this you have to give the exam for lateral entry in B.Tech

well dear friend the eligibility for the entry into b.tech 2nd yr after diploma is as follows::--
Three-years diploma in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks inaggregate from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/ university/board recognized by AICTE:- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing Technology, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making.
Note: Candidates with Diploma in Architecture are not eligible for lateral entry to Engineering/ Technology degree programme.
so you do posess the eligibility for the admission so just apply in the college / university and according to the vaccancies and merit you will be thereof selected..

to get admission in B.Tech through lateral entry the thing is that first of all you have to give the exam & to clear this exam of lateral entry
& after that on the ranking based you get the seat allotments

if you are a diploma holder then the criteria of lateral entry would be applied and you have to appear in the exam which is held for the engg for lateral students

you fill the form as a diploma holder and crack the exam....

the procedure to take admission in B.Tech is very simple.you can appear in any of the enginnering exams of any universities.
if you qualify their exams then you get a call to the counselling .based on your ranking you will get the college that offer courses in different streams.

the answer is simple ...
you need to complete the 3 year diploma coarse first.
after then you have to sit for the competitive exams like AIEEE,WBJEE, etc.

then you will be directly admitted to the 2nd year in b.tech.

Keep a watch on the national daily newspaper. colleges with vacant seats hold seperate exams for lateral entry or they provide an option for it in their regular entrance exams. you can get lateral entry only for the same field and iff you give your 1st year score apart from clearing the test.there no thing like "u get 1st year in colleges of different universities thru lateral entry".this scheme is different for bits(pilani) though.

The dates for counselling for leet students who got txhe merit position in the leet test.

can 634 rank take admission on the basis of leet test of ipu delhi.

You can give Entrance test of leet from various status.after this if you clear this test you can admission in mech.

this test is lateral entry to b.tech
