What is the purpose of having semester exams in B.Tech course? Can you please provide me the information on this? It will be helpful if you can provide me the reason for these exams so that I can prepare better from the start maybe.

The duration of B.Tech course is 4 years in semester mode. Most of the colleges offer first year B.Tech course in non-semester mode and remaining 3 years course in Semester mode. That means, there are totally one year and 6 semesters.

The main purpose of having semesters in B.Tech course is that more number of subjects related to that particular stream can be taught to the students required to complete the course. The semester examinations are conducted just like other examinations to test how much subject knowledge the candidate has gained by studying the course.

B.Tech is the Bachelors of Technical course of study which is the vast technical related course and there will be lots of studies which you will be dealing with according to your branch of study.This course is splitted in to several semesters as there was a vast syllabus.

So you will be having your B.Tech course in Semester wise and also there will be different labs and theory part also in your B.Tech which can not be done yearly once so it was splitted in to semester wise and then studies for 4 years

You will also be having good technical knowledge through B.Tech because in B.Tech you will be having the study in deep and you will have good technical knowledge.
