There's nothing to be confused about. You first need to decide what do you want to become exactly. If you can decide what you want to become exactly in your career then you can definitely make up a decision according to me.If you want to go through your M.tech course and want to settle down either in your core industry or in teaching side then going through GATE will be the best option.GATE exam consists of your core subjects along with Mathematics. If you feel that it's easy then you can definitely go through the exam.
If you want to go through the Management course from top Institutes in India then going through MBA will be the best option. You must have heard that CAT is the toughest exam being conducted in India hence you need to prepare well if you want to secure a good percentile and get selected in IIM's. CAT exam is related to Verbal Analysis, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude. Choice is in your hand. It's never late do better take a wise decision regarding your career hence prepare well according the exam you want to go through. |

Hello friend ........
Both the GATE and the CAT are good at their own place . Both of them are the entrance exam one for the M.Tech degree and the other for the MBA degree. If you want to do higher studies in the Engineering stream then GATE is the better options or if you want to do the management after the engineering b.tech degree then you can give the CAT exam and depending on the CAT percentile you will get the college Depending on the today's demand most of the students are doing the MBA after completing their B.Tech degree. Also you will be handsomely paid after the MBA degree. So i would suggest you to do the MBA after the B.Tech degree so you can give the CAT exam .. So best of luck |

hello dear
see, both GATE and CAT are exam for doing higher study. if you are interested about to get more technical knowledge from reputed college/university like IITS,NITS etc. then you have to give GATE exam. but if you want to be a part of managing body in a global company then you have give CAT exam. through the CAT exam you can get opportunity to get admitted top B-Schools like IIMS,ISB,SP jain etc. but you must remember whether you will do M.TECH or MBA from top college, you have to get good percentile in GATE/CAT . all the best........... |

hi dear
both the exam are tough but GATE is very tough than CAT because in GATE there is every question is different from previous year question there is no same in question pattern . but if you want to build your career through technical ground So you go & try for crack this GATE. SO you eligible to read IIT OR NIT india] but CAT is go for MBA CAT is also difficult but its pattern is slightly easy than GATE. So always prefer to CAT easily But if you build your career through company sector then you go and CRACK this exam easily............... |

both the options are good. the only thing is that in which field you are interested. if you give gate exam, then you will have to take admission in m.tech only. as m.tech is a purely technical line, it is mostly preferred for b.tech students. if you are interested in doing business management, then you must give cat exam. after passing the exam, you will get admission in mba which is made only for business purpose. both the exams are equally tough and needs a lot of hard work to crack. if you get good marks in any one of these entrance exams, then only you will get admission in a good college. |

hey friend
nowadays so many students confused while choosing career option between CAT or MTech but no need of this. do a self analysis: 1. are you comfortable in managing? 2.do you feel more enjoyable with technology? 3.do you like being working under someone? 4.do you want to give employment to others rather being working for others ? 5.do you want to exlore the new dimensions in your subject ie research ? after answering this questions you will have a thought of choosing which the field well both exams are tough and tact is require to handle them. in presen era both have equal importance. |

Hi,
choosing CAT or GATE depends mainly on your bachelor course as it will be better going in the same field .I thing you have completed BE. so it is better to do GATE rather than CAT as demand for master degree holders are more when compared to MBA. as number of bachelors doing MBA is more. But if you are interested in administration then you can do it. |
