To get governmet job after completion of Btech in ECE you have to give PSU exams or civil service exam like IES.
*Must have minimum aggregate of 60% in graduation.
*Age limit of 27 years in PSU exam and 30 years in IES exam

government jobs available for B.E ECE students are

1. BSNL(bharat sanchar nigam limited)
2. ISRO(Indian space research organisation)
3. DRDO(Defense research and development organisation)
4. ECIL(Electronic cooperation of india limited)
5. AAI(Airport authority of India)
6. SAIL(Steel authority of india)
7. RRB(Railway recruitment board)
8. UPSC(Union Public Service Commission )
9. CDS(Combined defense service)

you need to get the form availability of all above exam and many more from www.upsc.gov.in

Most of the exam edibility will be graduation with 60% and age limit is 30years ...just refer above site for upcoming exams...

friend if u want to pursue a govt. job after grad. in ece then u have to work really hard because the truth is that unlike mech. and elect. engg. the job prospects of ece grads in govt. sector is low. still i would suggest go through gate prep. books like galgotias and kanodia to clarify ur concepts. moreover u can apply in ntpc,isro,barc,bel,sail,ongc,bhel,ecil etc. aftyer grad. in ece.

dont be afraid at all for ece students there is a bunch of government job....

like BHEL,NTPC,ONGC,BSNL etc...
also you can give the IES and IAS exam which is of the top most level..


just prepare throughly your engineering subjects and take one subject main in your engineering and get deeply into it.......and then fill the forms of these government jobs......when they are announced...i am sure that you will get the job in government job

see if you are planning for on campus placement then you'll need a minimum CGPA of 7 or above and if applying off campus then you may have to give GATE exam as some of the PSU's have made it mandatory

yes..theres a good scope for ECE students in Govt jobs...One needs to have minimum of 60% aggregate in graduation level for most of the exams(though it may vary as per exams).
There is a good demand for ECE graduates in prestigious institutes of the country like ISRO and DRDO. You can apply accordingly as per your choice..

Dear Aspirant,

You need to have atleast 60% or above in the UG course.So that you can be eligible for the exams.

Also you need to have some communication skills.

By which you can crack the english section of any govt exam.

Should prepare for the aptitude and the aptitude related topics.So that the maths can be solved.

General awareness, Social activities,Current affairs are also the key things in the govt job exams.

They usually ask for these question in the exams for the students so be prepared for that and be updated for any question.

Try solving previous papers which you are trying.Each exam has previous question papers.By which you can get the idea and also you can know your potential out of it.

It makes you to plan on how to solve the paper and also the time management is key role.

you need to have atleast 60% marks in your graduation.
Certain government company keep it as 65% while companies like EIL keep it as 70% and above.
You should not have any live backlog
you should have good aptitude, reasoning ability, good communication and presentation skill

Apart from these, you should also have good knowledge of current affairs.
You should have good knowledge about the company, you are sitting for.
