Sir/Mam, I got 57% marks in 12th physics 62, chemistry 59 and biology 59 does this marks is enough to get admission in AFMC and AIIMS? Can you please provide me the complete information on the same? Awaiting to get the response soon. Thanks. Please reply

No, you are not eligible to appear in entrance examination to get admission in MBBS course in AIIMS or AFMC ( Armed Force Medical College ).

To get admission candidates have to appear and qualify in AIIMS MBBS and NEET examination respectively. The required qualification to appear in examination is :-

Candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main paper.

Candidate must have scored minimum 60% in board examination including these subjects.

So, you are not eligible to get admission in these institutes but you can appear for NEET ( minimum required aggregate 50% ) to get admission in government and private colleges in MBBS course.

AFMC refers to Armed Force Medical College and AIIMS refers to All India Institute of Medical Sciences. For pursuing MBBS ( Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ) degree course from former you need to qualify NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) where as for pursuing MBBS from later you need to qualify AIIMS MBBS entrance examination.

Now as far as you are concerned about your eligibility for pursuing MBBS degree course from AFMC or AIIMS having managed 57% marks in your Class 12th with PCB group then I would like to let you know that you are eligible for appearing in NEET for which the minimum marks required in Class 12th is 50% but not for appearing in AIIMS MBBS entrance examination for which the minimum marks required in Class 12th is 60%. You can appear in AIIMS MBBS entrance examination if you belong to reserved category as for the same there is provision of marks relaxation upto 10%.

MBBS refers to Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery. As the name suggests same is a bachelor degree course of five and a half years.

Further the minimum educational requirement for pursuing MBBS degree course is a Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. For reserved category the minimum marks required in Class 12th is 40%.

Apart from securing required marks in Class 12th you also need to qualify either NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) for admission in medical college of India including AFMC ( Armed Forces Medical College ) or AIIMS MBBS entrance examination for admission in AIIMS ( All India Institute Institute of Medical Sciences ).

So having completed your Class 12th with PCB group with 57% marks you are eligible for admission in AFMC by qualifying NEET but not for admission in AIIMS as for admission in AIIMS you need to have managed 60% marks in your Class 12th unless you belong to reserved category as for reserved category candidates there is provision of marks relaxation of 10%.
