i want to became a captain of ship, so what i do...please tell me what to do

A high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate is required to be a ship captain. high school, prospective ship captains can follow one of two career paths. Captains of supply boats on inland water ways or rivers often start with entry-level work as deckhands and obtain on-the-job training. through the ranks by gaining experience and passing rating exams. captains of deep-water vessels often gain formal training from merchant marine academies before being promoted to captain.
