If you want to become an IPS officer, you have to sit in the UPSC CIVIL SERVICES exams.

This exam is held in three stages:
>> Prelims or CSAT
>> Mains
>> Interview

Eligibilty to sit in this exam is Graduation Pass

Age should be ebtween 21 and 30 years with OBC candiadtes getting 3 years and SC/ST getting 5 years age relaxations

Attempts- You can just apply for this exam 4 times if you belong to general category, 7 times for the OBC category and no restriction for the SC/ST candidates

If you meet the above eligibilty, than aplly for the Prelims exams when notifications are released on 2nd February 2013
