my name is khushaboo . i have passed bca last year and i want to be a ips . please send all information about it as steps of submition of form ,eligibility, sample papers and best coching and guiglines in allahabad.

hi,
You can become IPS officer after BCA course.

IPS exam stands for Indian police service which is conducted by UPSC .

IPS EXAM ELIGIBILITY

education qualifications.

you must have graduate degree in any discipline of any of the universities incorporated by an act of central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament.
you are also eligible if you are in the final stage in your degree.


age requirement

your age must be 21 years of age on 1st of august.
you must have 21-30 years of age to be qualified,

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer you have to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year after Graduation.

As you are a BCA Graduate you are eligible to apply for IPS, Civil Service Exam.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

The selection is through three phases:-

CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test

Civil Service Main Exam

Personal Interview

For becoming an IPS Officer you need to apply for Civil Services Examination and qualify it with very good marks.

Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC and you can apply for it because your a BCA Graduate. So don't worry and start preparing for it.


For IPS you also should have good physical fitness then only you will be considered for IPS Cadre.

The age limit for IPS Examination is 21 to 30 years for those who are General Category.

There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC Category.

The selection as an IPS officer will depend on following stages:

-Preliminary Exam

-Mains Exam

-Interview

-Medical Examination

If you pass with merit then you have a strong chance of getting selected as an IPS officer.

Date Of Notification:-02.02.2013
Last date of submission of form:-04.03.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam Prelims:-19.05.2013 (SUNDAY)
Date of Mains eXam:- 19.05.2013 (SUNDAY)

The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services.

IPS examination is a civil services examination, that is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.

The selection procedure for the IPS examination is mentioned as below:-

* Preliminary examination.

* Mains examination.

* Personnel interview.

The eligibility criteria required for the IPS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any track from any accredited college or university.

* Final year contenders are also eligible.

After Graduation Degree in any discipline one become an IPS officer by cracking Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good physical Fitness.

As you have already passed BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application), you are eligible to apply for IPS, Civil Service Exam.

The selection is through two stages of written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness Test.

The three stages of Exams are:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

To become an IPS officer, you have to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exams.


Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil Services exams is:

Education: Graduation pass in any stream from a recognized university
No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Age- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
OBC can apply till 33 years
SC/ST can apply till 35 years

Attempts/Chances:
General- 4 times

IPS means Indian Police services.First of all I would like to appreciate your decision to become an IPS officer.

In order to become IPS officer ,you have to follow the given algorithm:

Step1: First of all become eligible for the Civil services examinations.

Eligibility Criteria:

>>You should have bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.If you are pursuing your final year of bachelor's degree then also you can give the exam.

Since you are pursuing last year of bachelor's degree ,so you are eligible for it .

>>You age should be between 21-30 years and relaxations will be applicable to you in age if you are candidate from reserved category.

>>You must be an Indian citizen.

If you fulfill all the given above criteria ,then you become eligible for the Civil services examinations conducted by the UPSC every year.

Step 2: Now what you need is to apply for the Civil services examination at the www.upsconline.nic.in.

If you clear the three stages of the exam that is preliminary ,main exam and personal interview ,you will be able to fulfill your dream.

But honestly speaking this is a not easy exam ,you need to give your level best for this exam .You can imagine tougness of exam that out of almost 500000 candidates after all the three stages only 300 to 400 are selected.

Dear friend, To become an IPS officer you have to qualified civil service exam conducted by union public service commission ones in a year.
General eligibility criteria for IPS is given below:
>> Candidate must completed his/her graduation degree or equivalent to it in any stream with minimum 60% marks from any recognized university. Candidates who are in final year can also apply.
>> Candidate must be a citizen of India.
>> Candidate must completed 21 years of his/her age.
>> Maximum Age for general category applicants is 30 years. 3 years relaxation for OBC category applicants and 5 years relaxation for SC/st category applicants.
>> General category candidates can attempt the exam 4 times.
>> OBC category applicants can attempt the exam 7 times.
>>There is no limit for SC/St category applicants to apply the exam.
>>There are three stages in the exam:
1) Preliminary Exam
2) Mains/Descriptive Exam
3) Personal Interview

After selection you go on training.

Final years students also eligible for this exam....

General Age Limit is 21-30 years. but there is relaxation is available for reserved category....

OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years.....

SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years....

There are only 4 attempts available for General category (For OBC 7 attempt limit and for SC/ST no attempt limit).....
